My friend, I suppose your CPU is Pentium 4. So, you need to change the whole PC. Tell us how much $ you intend spending to propose you some components.

It's not going to happen with that much money.

You need a new PC P4 is like 10yrs old now :eek:

I think PS4 won't release before 2014 so may be you can get PC this year or just play games on PS3 it self till next gen comes. Provided you have montior, keyboard, mouse, speaker. It will cost at least 500-600$ or 300-400GBP. If you want to play on high, max settings then 600-700GBP I guess.

My only suggestion is to look for better computers that are used if you can't afford a whole new computer. Of course before you buy a used computer check to make sure it's in good running condition(use the SpeedFan program. Open the program and on the SMART tab select the hard disk and click "Perform an in-depth online analysis of this hard disk". It is not the absolute truth but it's a good tool to to quickly get an idea of the hard drive's condition. You can run a short test to check for errors). If the seller does not mind it you can run Memtest86 to test the memory.

Otherwise I would suggest you to save your money and see what you can get in the future.

Here are specs I strongly recommend if you're on a budget. This shouldn't cost much.

Intel Pentium i3
2GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9800GT (9600 if you're really on a budget)
Windows 7 Home Basic
550 Watt power supply

That should get the latest games to work, even in high graphics. Skyrim, crysis will work great as well. But make sure you're monitor is like only 15 - 18 inches. If you go 21 inches or more, expect a little lag cause these graphics cards are not considered high end anymore. I'd rate them a bit below mid class graphics cards. But it performs well.

My own personal recommended "sweet spot" PC setup looks something like this;

CPU - Intel i5 2500K
Motherboard - Asus P8P67(P67 ATX)
RAM - 8 Gigs of DDR3
Graphics Card - Nvidia 560Ti or ATI 6950

This setup has a really good price to performance ratio and will let you play every game out currently at max settings and should be able to hold its own for the next couple of years.

I know your current budget doesn't allow for it at all, but start saving. :) It's not actually that expensive though, around $600 - $750, depending on where you buy the hardware from.
