What would you do if you were enlisted to create a rival to Gran Turismo 6?
Basically, what would you do to create a simulation racing game as a rival to GT6?

Here's a few details that I'm looking out for:

  • Try and create box art for your game if you can.
  • What consoles you would release it on? (i.e. PS3, Xbox 360, PC/Mac...)
  • What racing series would you base it on? (i.e. WEC, USCC, Super GT, Nascar...)
  • Please don't attempt to cannibalise GT6 (after all, GTP is a Gran Turismo forum in the first place)
  • Try to use a unique idea that isn't in other games on sale.
  • If there are any features in the game that are worth noting, note them!
Remember that your game is not real, and this is not a game in itself. This is more of an ideas sharing thread than a forum game.

Well, anyway, try using my entry as a guideline for yours:

GT Revolution is to be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as a worthy contender to GT6.
This game will have over 50 cars from the Super GT, Blancpain Endurance Series and the United Sportscar Championship, driveable on over 70 tracks from all corners of the world.

The Japanese Anpanman characters (look it up) (and also, that yellow logo notes that any product with it will have something to do with the franchise) will be your main assistance in your journey to become the world's best GT driver.

From this point on, you now have the ability to create your own GT6 rival, like mine. Let's see what you're made of!

If I get any time this weekend I'll photoshop my cover image.

I'd call the game 'P1 - Race Ace'. Available on Xbox One and PS4.

There are regional starter classes in clubman events on track, gravel and hillclimbs, with race and rally formulas. Weather effects and day-to-night transitions, the latter ideal for night rallies. The regions being Europe, Japan and the US. Tracks would be a mixture of licensed national circuits (Oulton Park, Willow Springs, Tsukuba for example, rather than the big F1 circuits) and authentic fantasy locales for track and rally. Once you've progressed through the clubman stages, you can enter the top level national series, providing you get the sponsorship backing or earn a seat with a fictional, realistic team. Cars would be licensed and there would be a basic livery editor, focusing on tasteful motorsport derived liveries, but with user-selectable team colours.
