I'm simply hypothesising an unusual idea. Here we go.

Polphony Digital: Due to the data capacity of a Blu-Ray Disc and the Playstation 3, we are considering making a cut-back in the 'Standard' Library of Cars. We propose we remove these 800 cars and put this memory towards a new or a better developed feature and as loyal fans, you get to decide.

So, in the poll above, what would you trade 800 Standard Cars for or alternatively post your own ideas.

old tracks, new tracks and reformed tracks.

old events, new event modes and reformed events.

not to mention focus on more detail, more micro less macro

instead of 129831902831080132 cars, perhaps something like 300 cars each fitted with more detail and taken more time as far as proportion goes (too big or small of windows, car too wide, etc)

I would definitely trade a great number of the standard cars for some of the old tracks and in addition, a number of new premium's, damage and livery editor...

...but then I can but dream on!! :)

I miss El Capitan and others.

Definitely 100 premium upgrades of standard cars. That way, quality will be consistent, and we will only have cars that we care about (such as the Veyron, LMP/Group-C's, RUF's, and most race cars) as opposed to the 700 or so duplicate Skylines/RX7's, Kei cars, slow cars, etc.

Definitly the Premium Cars or the Livery Editor, can't decide. Tracks and Damage er tied for 2nd.

100 premium cars, then offer the 800 standards (or however many don't get turned into premiums) as a free DLC for those of us who have enough HDD space on our PS3's.

Data capacity limitations my bum. :sly:

800 premiums
1,600 standard cars!
One of these two, nothing less. I want to drive those cars, and I'm just about to after one more coffee. Even with the 360 and Forza 4 hooked up, what I really want to do is race those cars in Gran Turismo. Only a PC sim is better, and only the physics by a thin margin here and there. And they just aren't as involving to me, sorry sim and Forza fans.

(I voted tracks but) I'd trade the 800 standard cars for premium versions of a +/- 200 unique, rare, sought-after (or what have you) vehicles such as the Caterham, Tank Car, Buick Special, Prowler, etc. IMO, GT5's car selection REALLY needs to be simplified. I'd rather have +/- 500 premium cars than 1000+ cars with tons of duplicates.

I would let them go for free. I admit driving them from time to time but the game would feel more complete without them. I know it sounds weird but I hate inconsistency.

However many standards their are without the regional duplicates, lets just say 700, I like having loads of cars to choose from :)

Never, the standard cars are important.

I third that.

But if I had to, the livery editor is the only one there worth it. Trading 800 out for 100, even with quality differences, isn't a justifiable worth. At least with a livery editor you can get some better looking cars.

there are duplicate cars under a different brand. for example, the lexus gs300 sells as the toyota aristo in japan. same car, different name. does it contribute to how many cars there are ingame? yes. if we remove half of the name duplicates and some standard models that are plain useless there will be more game capacity to fit more crap in gt5.

yes. i we remove half of the name duplicates

This is a very true point. Also, to add to your point, and this is not a joke, each MX-5/Miata/Eunos Roadster has two duplicates depending on which car it is (its other two are the duplicates). That's a colossal error by PD :dunce: Of course, the exception is the '07 Roadster since that's not a P/S or an S in any form.

I would trade them for NEW SOUNDS (NOT SYNTHESIZED!!) and no static/stiff camera and hands inside the cockpit.

This says it all

I see your point but PD could upgrade 'some of your favourite cars' to premium if a vote was reached for 100 Premiums.

So PD is clearly considering this. What about the old tracks, El Capitan etc...?
