I'm sick of all these threads saying what you want changed in update x.xx. So I decided to start the oppsite.
I want to keep:
All the preimum cars aero kits and RMs.

NOTE: This was off the top of my head, so i may add more to this list.
Feel free to post your thoughts.

I don't think PD will remove any content like that, so the aero is safe. :p

I wish PD would stop messing around with the gear ratio tuning. It wasn't broke to begin with, why force us all to redo our gearboxes? :ouch:

Why would content be removed? That's completely senseless.

The gear ratio settings are still quite broken. GT1's gear settings is what we should have in GT5 at the very least

-We would be able to see the RPM and speed range of the gears
-Gear ratios aren't restricted to tiny narrow bands, so you can have a proper long first gear

It's kind of silly that they would go backwards on this and to this day never go back to where they were.

But it was broken...

The things that would be removed would probably small things. (READ POST ABOVE)
But like things that no one really liked (Yes, I know my eariler post had something actually useful) *cough* standard cars *cough*

Yet that's exactly what PD do between games in the GT series! I along with many other fear that they will start doing the same via updates, for instance, we used to be able to use PP & BHP/Weight together, but now it's gone back to either 1 or the other. Just a small thing I know, but an annoyance nonetheless to those that started to use it.

:scared:

It wasn't broken. The Max Speed shown was the theoretical top speed of the car, using gear ratios, final drive ratio, tyre circumference and max RPM to work out.

People thought it was broken because their cars couldn't reach the theoretical top speed, failing to recognise air resistance as a major factor. So PD dumbed it down and took the fine tuning out of the tune menu.

Well, as im running custom gear box, i really havent noticed a differance, my cars perform as good as before. What exactly has changed regarding the transmission?

In the land of non-paranoid, realistic things that might get changed, I don't want to see them go back to the expiration dates on the repeatable seasonals nor do I want them to drop the rewards for the time and drift trials.

It would be nice of them to put in additional rewards for being in say the top 50, 150, and 500 total times at the very end of it

Remove 500 cars no one buys to drive, and replace with only 5 or 10 cars Everyone will buy and love.

Thats not quite right though. If you set the max speed relatively low (like 130 on an R34 or something like that), you would be bouncing off the rev limiter 5-10 mph lower than the tuning menu suggested. Perhaps if you could turn off the rev limiter, you would be able to get up to that speed, but it seems kind of pointless.

Edit: Personally, I hope they keep the higher rewards. At this point, I am just car collecting (having beaten almost all the A-sped events, except for the longer Endurances), and more money makes it easier. Thats all I can think of for now.

Sounds like someone needs to dumb it down for you...

If a car reaches its rev limiter, then the drivetrain is the limiting factor. If a car can't climb all the way through a gear, THEN wind resistance/lack of power is the limiting factor. GT's "top speed" was faulty, and they acknowledged this and corrected it. On top of that, it was "broken" because you couldn't adjust individual gear ratios, and the sliders for each gear, which were functional in every other GT game, were present, but greyed out, as if they were waiting to be implemented. GT5 Beta...

Hmm, why not add further 5-10 cars instead? I dont believe in removing stuff, but if they implement further stuff, then they can investigate which cars/tracks/features people want...

You'd be surprised how many of those cars actually get used. One of the best things about the GT series is being able to pick up a car at random and tweak it into a potential beast.

I respect the people who put time into doing that, after all, I did buy some cars that perhaps someone else wouldn't example, a BMW 2002 '73 (= my 1st real car)
