What types of things scared you? I don't necessarily mean things like snakes or spiders or that type of thing; I mean things that stop when thought of and makes you scared for one reason or another.

As for me, one example is that I've always had a fear of someone breaking into my house at night. It's never actually happened, but I imagine it would scare the hell out of me if it did.

Speeding tickets scare me. :nervous: Not only it's few hundred dollars out of my pocket, it will affect my insurance rates.

I have a pronounced fear of rejection, and to add to that a fear for intimacy. It makes me often suspicious to new people and letting someone into my life takes quite a time.

However I think these fears is getting easier to handle as the years go by. :)

I said this in the random facts about yourself thread... but double posting is something I haven't done in awhile...

I'm scared of approaching a hot girl in my office in fear of being unprofessional.

Isn't that by definition unprofessional?

Screw professionality, just go get her. You may look like a jerk and act like one, but who cares except all your co-workers and bosses? ;)

Oh yeah, its the move prefered by most men, but least talked about.

At least I something to look forward to when going to work in the morning. ;)

I caught a praying mantis in my hands awhile ago ( I don't think I am scared of any animals really, just facinated ) BUT when I looked closely at it, it turned its head and seemed to look right into my eyes...which freaked the **** out of me , cause they just just have all black eyes ....and I couldn't tell what it was going to do...

just freaked me out, I tossed it as soon as it did that !

Drowning. The thought of trying to breathe and getting nothing but water... and yet I really enjoy kayaking, swimming and the odd bit of sailing.

I'm not too good with heights, either.

I hate huge waves. I just imagine getting trapped under one.

I'm scared of two things when I think about it.

Anything bad happening to my eye (although I am pretty calm when small things get in there, but I'm talking about big damage that I'm scared of) and losing someone close to me.

Same here. I've stayed up all night on several occasions due to hearing what I thought was someone breaking into the house – I'm absolutely terrified of that happening.

Tying in with that, I'm deathly afraid of being held hostage and/or at gunpoint.

I fear to drown in the pacific sea at night.

Ooooh. just thinking about that gives me shivers.

Thanks a lot man you've just made me add another thing to my long list of scary stuff that is scary!

Unsafe things. Don't immediatley discount me as a wuss, just read.

I'll happily go on most rides at theme parks, pretty much make that all. Rollercoasters and even free-fall 'simulators'.

However, there's this one ride called Pirate ship I hate. Mainly because the only safety bar is for like 5 people and last time I went on I was with a particulary fat mate, So I had no support from this lap bar at all!

Last year, I always had dreams that I wa on a roller coaster and the lap bar broke, and I flew off. This hasn't deterred me from going on roller coasters at all, though, but I always think about it and wonder what if it really did happen whenever I go to Six Flags. I guess I am afraid of that, but I love coasters anyway!

No, it was Oakwood park in Pembrokeshire.

I went on it a few times, but I felt myself doing more to stay in my seat than enjoy the ride.

Well, ya know, Geraint used to be fat. I just didn't know when the last time you went to Oakwood was.
It was a while ago yeah, probably like yr 8, but Geraint never had a waist comparable to Jonny's. Anyway if Geraint is classified as 'fat' he's the fittest fat person I know.
