I was thinking online racing can be more fair and fun by trying this.

Make rooms for one make cars.
Allow tuning to a set pp ( don't set power limit or weight limit or aero limited just pp limit )
Set restriction on the tires
Set restriction on driving aids.
Allow racer to run 3 laps to qualify

The success of the racer comes down mostly to his knowledge of tuning and his driving skills.

What you guys think?
 
If its a one make car, then you can only select from the Arcade Only cars.
 
Selecting the arcade only cars limits your tuning. Some people can drive better than others and some can tune better than others. Setting a pp limit above stock allow for weight reducing, power addition and aero adjustments on cars with aero mods. Some racers tuning will give them a little edge while others driving will give them a little edge. So I am really looking at creating an atmosphere where everyone has chance to win with no excuse. When someone loses he can study how to tune better or work on his driving skills, this is what I mean.
 
Would'nt like it in the least. It would be like "Hey, why doesn't PD make a version of GT5 thate tog has only one track and one make of car so we can all racether fairly.
 
The only way to see if it will be a success is to create the room and see if people stick around. It's your open lobby, run it the way your want.
