I am loving GT5P, but I do wonder about its longevity...

Clearly, the main part of the game is the "events".. But I amanged to do the 'A Class' on my first go and am now rattling through B.

Clearly things are going to get a lot harder, but condering that there are only 4 classes, its not going to take long. Saying that, I notice that each manufacturer has an 'event' too, so I have to do them too...

So, once you have completed the event what then? Whats the 'meat' of the game? Which of these do you spend most of your time playing (other than online):

- Arcade
- Repeating the events
- Time/Drift Trial

I am assuming that the Time/Drift trails are the most important aspects, but just need clarification of what the main intention of the agme is after the events!

well collect all cars. for example the F1 2007 :-) will take you some time to get just repeat the event which gives you the most amount of money with the least effort ( I use the first race in the Class A on Daytona: you get 20'000 cr in less then 5 minutes)

Sorry.. i should have point that out. Obviously the idea is to collect the cars.. But what do people typcially do with them.. Drive them in enents, races or just time/drift trails?

Race S-9, also at Daytona gives you 32,500 cr for just a bit over 4 minutes. That's probably the easiest moneymaker in the game.

Ahh well the main course of the game is online racing, You've got every guy on here to beat yet and of course the rest of the world......come back when you've beaten us all and tell us you've finished it then LOL

Good luck!

I intend to try and get good lap times on all the tracks. This, for me, is more fun than actiually racing against other cars. That's why I found GTHD so addictive. Must shave of those seconds! LOL I just have to race a load of boring races to get all the cars though:yuck:

I am currently racing online, getting LAG, sometimes I hit other cars, there invisible due to the LAG, I can't help it but I try keep off the racing line to avoid these incidents.

I am at class A now and things slow down considerably in this class. You need to buy Ferrari F430 @ 240,000 credits , Ford GT which is 149, 000 credits , Honda NSX Type R @ 119,000 credits and a BMW M3 which is over 90,000 credits. So you wont get through the game that fast. When I am finished all missions I will buy all cars and then when my brother comes over I will play 2 player split screen.

Again, do not forget the Dealer races.
Pretty much every dealer / manufacturer has an event as well.

People always talk about C, B, A and S races... but there's another few dozen hidden in the Dealer menus.

You dont need an NSX Type R, I dont have one and I completed Class A...

To complete Class A I used an R35 Skyline GT-R '07, a Ford GT, an M3 and an F430. No NSX in sight...

And the easiest way to make money is the overtaking 16 cars in one lap of High Speed Ring in Class B, 12,500 credits in 1 minute 30 seconds!

by far, time trials are the most interesting part of GT5P for me... events - sure, but time trials is what I spent 60-70 hours on already in JPN release, and I will do even more for Spec II :-).

I am surprised nobody else mentioned it...

I think longevity for Prologue will come in the form of periodic updates. I mean, for what other game is there a fanatic fan base who is willing to endlessly play and comment seriously on an 'unfinished' game? The folks at PD would have to be insane not to take advantage of this when possible.

I was thinking about this and something popped up in my head, lots of people are always arguing against adding cool new features to GT5 because it will push the realease back even further. Wont GT5P kinda do the same thing? Maybe not, i dont know. Sorry, bit off the subject.

I will most likely spend most of my time playing all of the different game modes, each one can be very addicting and entertaining in it's own way. Lately i've been practising my drifting, i dont have my DFP and can't race for crap anymore with the controller.
