Just come bk to gt5 after nearly a year out . To my disbelief my setup is a no go now as I can only manage 12 laps on a set of soft tires(WTF) as I could get 32-36 depending on who I was racing with. Is there anyone out there that can give me a setup that can compete in the tier wear department .i run on a 3 speed transmission which gets me 39.9s without drafting pulling 223 on the bk straight. Just need that all important tier setup people.had put many hours in on my setup before I left this sport for c.o.d . Or even a good base to start with would be a great help people cheers to anyone that can help an oap (old age playstationer)

Tire wear has changed massively after a major update my friend. SR have the 1/3 of SH durability, whereas SM the 2/3.

Yes, tire wear has changed. I used to be able to do 50+ laps on soft tires at Daytona, with my record being 56 laps. I haven't raced NASCAR cars much after the update and definately haven't put in the time to come up with another good enduro setup. Just kinda lost interest in the NASCAR scene in the game and moved on to other things in the game.

Fixed that for you! :dopey:

Tire wear became heavier a long time ago and it took a huge hit on our racing, we had to completely change our set ups and are forced to run on hards now, softs for qualifying, hards for normal racing.

Sadly it killed my RM Vette racing at Indy with that update, but it was for the better. Much more realistic now, and much more competitive.

So happy I'm not in the NASCAR scene or this would have been devastating to me! :O

Any chance of a setup mr slump for a oap( old age playstationer )
You want more a tune for endurance or hot lapping/sprint?
