What's the wildest name you've heard of for a car?

I'd have to say that, so far, the Honda That's takes the cake for me

I've always found the Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris to have an awfully long and awkward name.

"What cha drivin' there?"
"Oh, why thats my Spkyker..."
"What kind of Spyker is it?"
"Well, it is the Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris..."

...and by the time you get done saying the name, your grandfather will be dead-and-gone, Germany would have started another World War (and lost), and China sent a man to the moon...

Outside of our Dutch friends, I've always liked the story behind the Oldsmobile 442's name:

- 400ci V8 (6.6L for you Europeans)
- 4-barrel Carb
- 2 (dual) Exhaust

...I always thought that was a cool reason behind a name...

Personally, I used to think the 4-4-2's Name came from the "Atlantic" passenger locomotives.

What about Plymouth's Road Runner...a car named after, of all things, a cartoon character! Or AMC's rediculous "Big, Bad" Javelins, and their Rebel "Machine".

Ah, yes, the 'late '60s through '71 were great times for car guys.

Mitsubishi Starion - The car was meant to be "Stallion" but the name was given to the Australian(?) distributor over the phone by a heavily accented Japanese employee, and written down as-heard.
