What's so special about the 458 italia?

I always hear people say the 458 is "god" blah blah and i don't get it. I've driven the car before and it did nothing that made me care to drive it again. Does it transform into a F1 car when you fully tune it or something.

Why do people have such a hard on for this car?
 
Personal preferences I suppose - me, I love the California for exuberence and SP1 for handling.
 
It handles better than your average super car in stock form, it looks good, it's a Ferrari, it's a car you wouldn't mind having it gifted to you in real life, and then again, it's a Ferrari.

But it all comes down to personal preference, yeah.
 
I agree i personally like the sp1 and the italia just because i am a big ferrari fan and always have been i even plan on owning one in real life someday
 
I can get 249mph out of mine 225mph without drafting, it handles so good, basically it's a version of Enzo that likes corners and doesn't handle like a boat.

It is forgiving in its handling, and is one of the more enjoyable cars in the game.
 
It's like how some people think corvettes are beasts in everything.... Italia beats a corvette in a drag! That's what corvettes are best at. Italia handling is awesome. And like another guy said it's an enzo that doesn't handle like a boat. Ferrari in general tho is really good. Everything is hand made....they might use a power drill for a screw but that's it, props to Ferrari for that haha
 
Corvette's best trait is a drag? Well I've heard everything now! For a bang for your buck sportscar the Corvette (Z06 especially) is very hard to beat, as far as the F458 is concerned it just raises the bar but the price to sit on that bar is also alot higher.

You can buy two ZR1's for one Italia IRL both capable of beating it :)
 
The 458? It's easy on the eyes. It sounds good, and it goes fast.

All of the Ferraris are nice cars. I wouldn't pick one over any of the others because they are all fun to drive, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
 
I'm a Lambo guy, but I guess that's just me growing up with Lamborghinis in my best friend's father's garage. I like the LP-560 better and I would claim I could beat a 458 any day with them both stock, but the 458 is, and I hate to say it, a better technical machine than the LP-560.

I personally don't like the car but it all comes down to personal preference I would assume.
 
Would be even better if there was a RM version of the 458...
 
When I drive it online in a room full of Ferraris, I win. If I dont you can bet its another Italia that does. Dont know why but its just better :)
 
I just like the styling and how it handles.ALSO, I found it more economical to buy that car for the Ferrari seasonal event than the enzo.The $ for 458, plus a few upgrades was way cheaper than the enzo, and it blows them away on that event.Just on that event alone my 458 has won me about 40mill cr.

If you are talking about that episode of American Top Gear then you should know that was BS...Normal guy in Corvette and a Stig in the Ferrari! If the driver knows how to feather the throttle and control wheelspin then the Corvette wins every time. That being said, the 458 is a better car because even an idiot can drive it fast and get it around corners, where that same idiot would be dizzy from going around in circles at the starting line in a Vette.
 
The 458 is a Ferrari, so you can do the seasonal, it looks awesome, it is almost as fast as the Enzo and is more agile, and is a third of the price!
 
The 458 is quite fast but it is also quite friendly. That's why people love them so much.

It's beautiful, fast, perfect on turns, good sound, doesn't cost 20 millions.

Looking at some other posts, yes, the zr1 it's obviously faster..if you can drive it. It's a beast and you have to understand it.
Personally i prefer the 458 because when i drive it i feel like at home. If i have to choose MY car, it's the 458. Don't care if someone think that it's a "noob easy car" or something like that. It's fun.

The 458 Italia is pretty goddamn fast if you ask me (and everyone else). And it handles well...and it screams like a beast...and you can use it in many events...and the list goes on. Basically, the 458 becomes one of the best road cars in the game with the right treatment.
 
I never liked it but when I drove it I started to love it... It's one of my favourite cars, I love the looks and the drivability of this thing, it's so easy and also drifts like a beauty... :)
 
For me the handling of the Scuderia is better, but the 458 has higher top speed.
 
I can only speak for myself, but my reason to like it that much is somehow a sentimental one. I had to buy one for A-Spec pretty early on, and I wanted a Ferrari, because I was stoked to be able to have one in a "real" GT at last. And it won me all road car events the CSL was not fast enough (more like "where I was not fast enough in the CSL").
