I really can't understand why people come crazy when any of this is mentioned. Not if I say "wow, GT is rather stinky, Forza is a way better game..." I would understand that someone kicks his ass, but if somebody says "Forza has released its new DLC" then everybody just go crazy and try to set fire to your house!

The question is, why? They are two different games, GT has its advantages and drawbacks, and so does Forza. But why that amount of hate to those that post something without trying to offend anybody but to inform people?

Here in Spain, Vettel and Hamilton are widely hated between "F1 fans", but why? Why do they say that they both are much worse than Alonso? They don't really realise that what makes someone or something great is being able to compare them to legends and see that maybe it's beaten in some aspects and became winner in others, but you are comparing it to a legend, or at least a good piece of genre...

Same happens with GT vs almost any other racing game. People are so focused on defending its game that they became rather stupid when someone tries to drop an objective opinion... GT is a good game, but would it be that good without that competitors such as Forza, Assetto Corsa or pCars? Or just the other way round, the other games may be good in some aspects just because they beat GT.

All in all, let's try not to hate any news that come from other games. They are a really good reference on what our game can improve on, and that's really really good.

I've played both and try to treat them equally (even though I play GT6 more because the online kinda works with my connection, Forza's I have a lot of trouble.) But yes Furinkazen basically hit the nail on the head. And since this is GTPlanet, GT fanboys far out number the iRacing/Forza/etc communities, so they have the ability just trample any smaller forum they wish.

And so it was written, keep the smaller communites subdued because we outnumber them. OK.

I quite agree, OP, but I fear you're about to unleash yet another torrent of the same lumpy bile as you indirectly referred to.

Fanboys of impartial duality (or multiplicity) as myself and the peculiarly be-ponied @Welsh-Fury will not take part in the mudslinging... but plenty of the more mono-brained fanbois will stampede into this thread like Berlusconi into a secondary school and the troll-wrestling will continue its eternal grunting.

For now, here's the OP's theme tune to make us all feel better.

Please use one of the existing vs threads, we don't need yet another.
