Has anyone noticed the two cars that reside in the "My Home" screen in GT3? The red car on the left is a Dodge Viper, but the one on the right appears to me like its a Ford Falcon AU. For all of you non Australians out there, the AU Falcon is the base model for the Tickford XR8 in the game. The Falcon is one of Australia's most popular family cars, but it seems odd that it appears there....

Anybody got any ideas as to a) why its there or b) what else it could possibly be?

It is a Dodge "Stratus". A 4 door FF family car. It's in the image presumably because it was behind the Viper when the picture was taken. No, it's not in the game.

Much like the Race Track in the image at the license tests.

And, technically, the Diablo you can see racing the JGTC cars when selecting Apricot Hill in Arcade Mode.

=P. i don't understand why people have problem with those stuff.

yes, it's a car, and who cares..

Yes it looks remarkably similar to the much loved AU falcon. Maybe PD took some shots of other falcons when they came to photograph the V8 supercar.

I think PD just got the image from Dodge, just like the showroom images in GT2. (Corporate stock photography?). There was a Stratus in GT2, so PD must have had an extra image lying around that looked like a large enough garage...

I believe the drag strip image for the license tests is from Sears Point/Infineon Raceway.

Obviously he does because he started a thread about it. That's what the message forums are for, to discuss things.

He stated that it didn't really matter to him. He was discussing it.

You can't tell what car it is just by looking at it's silluette (sp?).

"Silhouette".

For the most part you CAN tell what a car is, just by looking at its silhouette. It certainly beats remote viewing or Braille.

Yes, really. You CAN see the Nomad Diablo JGTC car racing against other JGTC cars in Arcade Mode, Apricot Hill track selections.

While we're at it, your signature is one line too long.

Stratus hey... That interesting...

I'm not saying anyone is wrong, but can any australians(yes, there wouldnt be much chance of exporting the ugliest falcon ever overseas...) see the similarities??

My mates a mad Ford man and he thougt it looked eerily similar...

I don't think the markings belong to any racing team, but the Tickford is basically one of our AU Falcon V8 Supercars from a couple of years ago.
Since we got the new BA Falcon, most of the teams have switched to it. A much better looking car, I must say.

Yeah the new BA Falcons do look quite awesome. The AU Falcon XR8 I don't like too much, large, oval shaped headlights. *shudders*

I also think the BA was awesome looking, especially the FPV GT and the XR8, but one of the AU that survived it's run in with the ugly stick was the TE50/TS50. I though that they looked alright.
