Those would still be on the cheap side in comparison to the Mclaren sim. Then again I don't know if you would want to drop more money than a actual supercar into having a simulator.

I would spend 100K on 3 motion sim rigs (for me and 2 friends)... and I would also buy a Porsche (cheaper than most supercars) but thats not what this thread is about...

Buy a car, strip it, and buy a Dereck Spear Design Button Box. Then a CSW with GT Rim, CSS, CSP, CSHB. 8 Buttkickers, Front, back, Left, Right, Center, Under the 2 seats, behind the wheel. Then Invert the pedals. After that add a D-Box Motion. The difference would be I would add inverted rotation to also simulate G-Forces. I turn left, the car rotates right, and the D-Box turns as normal. THe rotations would accurately simulate G's. THen a Five monitor setup, three for the windshield, and two for the side windows. Then one to simulate the back seats and rear window, as well as a PSP to act as a Rear-view mirror. 7.1 High def Surround Sound system by Bose hidden where the normal speakers for the car would be! After that just switch to hood view and enjoy!

That might simulate the G-forces but me turning left and seing the hole room going left also instead of right and having my body rotate right and pushed to the left ... somehow it doesnt feel right... when I turn left on my car my body rotates to the left and is pushed to the right and I see the world going to my right....

you might be right and this guys wrong who knows -



Unless you were the chair (fixed to the rig) wich you are not you might be right but your body reacts the same way to motion inside the cockpit as it does inside a car... you are always feeling some kind of G-force (earth gravity). If you brake on a car you get pushed foward and thats why the rigs move back and the front downwards when you brake on the sim... and its the same when turning... if you turn left the rigs left/back side goes downward and the front up and to the left and your body is pushed to the right and back... just like inside a car...
