Whats the best way to learn solidworks?

Hello, I am asking if anyone has any experience in Solid Works design software. I am new to it, and my boss has asigned me to attempt to teach myself through tutorials etc. I was wondering if anyone has any tips that could be helpful to a Solid Works Newbie.
 
Urm, when you learn something, keep practicing and refreshing your memory. For my resistant materials class I had to use solidworks. I had a go and through a bit of guidance and a lot of trial and error I learnt to use solidworks in about a week.
After I finished my c/w I never went on it again and now I dont remember ANYTHING! I have all these cool models on my computer and I have no Idea how I made them:lol: Its a weird feeling.

So if you've got to learn it yourself, explore the functions etc and spend a lot of time on it. Soz if my advice is crap. A year ago I would have been able to help you.
 
Well, thanks for your help. I'm starting to get somewhat aquainted to the basic basic stuff.. It's so much different than AutoCAD.
 
lol! I used auto-cad before that too! From what I remember, solidworks is much more user friendly. That doesn't help much either does it? Im useless!

It's cool. 👍 From my little experience with it so far, Solid Works is much more user freindly. Wizards, ect better than AutoCAD and the command screen.
 
Play around with it, get the user manual, ask friends that are also learning it, and lastly take a class on it.
