What's the cheapest thing you've done to get something done in GT.

Was it rubber banding on a oval track leaving the car to do your job for ya? Or cloning cars? Just curious of what people come up with because out of the top of my head (besides the money glitch on nurburgring, that got patched) those are the only thing I see that people come up with to cheat their way in this game. It counts for all GT games.

I personally rubber banded my way to victory in GT3 in the endurance race of super speedway. Good times. lol
 
I've been cheating the new paint chips to keep what I paid for and before I restated my game save a month ago I did the SSR7 glitch a few times.

Never ever cheated on past GT's. I even did the 24hr without pausing, if I had to go the bathroom I parked same with food etc. Made it very fun lol.
 
It's a tie between participating in the SSR7 glitch while it was possible and grinding the Ferrari seasonal at Le Mans, with much corner cutting, until I couldn't take it anymore. I used to be a really bad punter as well, but that mostly stopped before GT5 came out.

I never duped, because I didn't get anything worth duping until after the changes I still think should be reversed.
 
I wasnt really into the trading scene pre 1.07 so i never got to take advantage of the trade limits

I'd say the worst i've done is the a-spec auto grind. spent a week doing that getting 35 to 39. (But now theres the login bonus so you don't even need to do this anymore)

Spammed a '67 ticket till I got a 2j. Spammed a lvl 12 till I got the 370z academy

I've duped a couple paints but its more hassle than its worth to be honest.
 
I've never taken advantage of the glitches nor have I cheated. I've never traded cars or tried to get a specific car from a ticket. Haven't felt the need to.
 
I did the SSR7 glitch only a few times and with little success. Never had an X2010 to do the Nurb glitch.

I've traded cars to duplicate paint chips on a handful of occasions but otherwise I've mostly accepted the cars I got from my tickets and moved on. I like just taking things as they come instead of being greedy and trying to control fate.
 
^ Me too, the events were too hard for me back then. Same for the Vettel challenge, otherwise Gold would have been impossible with DS3 :guilty:
 
Only ever duped 2 cars, and one was to help out a mate. Cut the absolute life out of all the corners on Le Sarth for the seasonal. Started a bspec enduro in the X2010, let it run through the night while I slept. Thats about it.
 
I have duplicated some of the nice-looking paint chips multiple times and traded just a few cars (so far) in order to obtain more favourable cars, but I have never manipulated the gift tickets' contents or exploited any of the online "glitching activities".
 
1)Cutting straight out of the pits and getting rammed to gold the NASCAR pit stop challenge event.

2)Occasionally getting frustrated at slowpoke/ramming bots and slamming past them to steal a win at the end or to keep pace with the rabbit early, after failing a race too many times in a row.
 
Well I don't consider rubber banding that cheap though. It's not really a glitch. :P Just a way to win races when you can't play XD I've never duped a car though. But I have cut many, many corners and slammed into many many AI cars just to get the win. It's fun!g
 
Have my friend do a couple races because I was too busy gorging on food.

Edit: Now that I think about it, that's more lazy than cheap actually.
 
I did the birthday cheat 3 times for 1967 to get the Muira, Ferrari 330 and Mark IV. Took ages! Kept getting some other random crap cars from that year. Thing is, I done it about 4 months ago and never even completed a lap with the 330 or Mark IV
 
I used the birthday glitch as well, the I ended up with four 330s and 3 MK4s, then I got two Miuras in a row.

Everytime its your birthday, you get a ticket which can give you almost any car. From what I gather, people change their birthdays to continually get tickets.
 
Cutting corners to gold the Monza part of the X2010 challenge. Come on, everybody's done this one to gold it, right? :sly:
 
The cheapest thing I've done, and am doing, is painting cars in DLC colors to send to myself, and then restoring the save, giving me back my paint chip. I do that, cos I'm cheap. :lol:

As for cheating, I don't cheat, I simply play this game however I want to play it. :D
 
I used to "borrow glitch" (or "sponging" as some people called it) the Hell out of the X2010 Prototypes and S.Vettel variations from my brother's account (he had them up for borrow) because I couldn't live with three S.Vettel X2010s and just one prototype! :nervous:

I haven't even "earned" my X2010 Prototype yet... :dopey:

As for other things, I've created an alt account that holds nearly all of my tickets I've earned through GT5 thus far. If I want to get my "random car-of-the-day", I just send myself a ticket. :sly:

I may be starting the DLC paint "duping" soon, as I have not used any of my DLC paints yet...

(How could I do such a thing!?)
