what's the deal with vision gt car release dates?

Over a year after the game is out only a little over 1/3 of the vision gt cars are out.

Is this just a gradual process that will be strung out until 2017 when gt7 is likely to be out, or at least a year or two away?

Anyone know anything about vision release dates, or any current autos besides the corvette and m4?

PD can only release the cars they receive from the manufacturers. It's all down to when they submit the cars, and when they want them to be released. Big game of marketing chess.

It appears there will be little to no real car DLC for GT6 so it makes sense to stretch out what you have for the life of the game.

........Since this IS a big marketing stunt, good one at that, all the car makers would want to release their VGTs at a certain time to generate max publicity/goodwill from audiences, such as VW's VGT, which were shown in annual Worthesee (hope I got the spelling right) GTI appreciation event. Alpine got shown off during that French pseudo-motor show earlier this week - and in March, I'm expecting at least two VGT announcements, thanks to Geneva Auto Salon.
