I've noticed a lot lately people just ripping (flaming) on others threads. For example: say I post "Wanted: Foresst Green Chevelle" it may slide for 1 or 2 responses then outta nowhere someone posts "you could atleast spell forest correctly". Seriously?! You're going to jump into a thread that you have no intentions of being a part of (such as actually trading) and tell me I misspelled something for the heck of it? Why not keep to yourself and just pass on that opportunity? Then I'll probably get a "hey Chevrolet didn't make a Forest Green Chevelle, they made a Fathom Green Chevelle" even though a forest green may be in the game. I didn't start the thread with Wanted: did Chevrolet produce a Forest Green Chevelle? did I? I just don't get the purpose of these types of comments. I'm a grown adult who works more than 40 hrs a week. I don't play my games and post on this forum because I want arguments that mean nothing. I do it because I want to have fun, I want to enjoy life. I just do not understand the purpose of these useless remarks.

I've moved it to the help desk as it's site related, although this seems a little more like a rant than an actual question.

The relative anonymity of the internet will make people a little more outspoken about things they read. I haven't looked at the specific thread you are referring to however one thing that does get lost in text is tone. The person responding, letting you know there is a mistake in your post, might not be doing it out of spite at all. Instead they might just wish to educate you. Granted there are ways to write responses and correct people whist still conveying a tone that is non threatening or abrasive.

I want to enjoy life.

Then do so. The Internet is full of what you just described, and more. Ignore them and go on about your business. If they're actually bothering you to the extent that you seem to be conveying by the demeanor of your post then that's your fault, not theirs.

You could, of course, avoid the whole issue by spelling "forest" correctly in the first place.
