ok i just signed up for this so it might take me awhile to get to know things around here but anyways.

i've been playin GT3 for awhile now and me and my friend jacob love drifting. but for some reason you guys say to use the simulation tires. why for?? i use the medium-slick tires and i can still drift good. i take the corners pretty quick and most of the time never hit the dirt or spin out.

so simulation tires let u hit corners faster as well? i DID use them but i thought they where just too sucky and a big loss of traction. (just my opinion though)

oh and another thing while im here. once i was racing my friend jacob in my trueno GT-apex(with traction settings to 1) and he used his r-33 V-spec skyline with no traction and still kept up with him on corners..lol it was great

well personally sim tires are very boring. Most the people here use them. They are for very slow drifts. All that i kno from them is that super soft tires are a lot funner and if you have good skills with them you can make it go fast like in ALL of akina's vids. Hey but that is my opinion so dont talk crap.

If only there were a smily where crap came out his mouth as he talked, that would be rather clever. I personally believe in the Super Slick, Sport, or Combo tires. Most of my drift cars run on S.Slicks.

Well, I'm just gonna saythat with me, it'll probably always be sims, since as i have said before, the design with the sim tires in gt3, is to simulate as close to reality that real street tires would perform, and i have seen it and performed, it makes me think logically when tuing my cars, and how it will effect every aspect of its performance, so no.....no 1100 bhp cars on softs fer me. I'm perfectly fine in my 500 bhp max that ive successfully pulled off with sims....

thanks everyone and i was also wondering what do u guys think is a good track to practice my drift on. i usually drift on laguna seca and trial mountain (i think thats what it's called). i just want a course with some good different turns.

apricot is the one that many people say , i use midfield for long drifts, deep forest for qucik concisive drifts, and apricot for the all around show

well.............with sims, it's more harder to control the car while it's drifting. With tires that have alot of grip, it's more harder to start a drift. So it's basiclly up to you on which one you want to get good at.
