Hi, i am new to GT Planet, just registered yesterday.

I read a couple of threads on gt planet on different forums about grand turismo3 to get more infos about the game. I had about all the answers that a I needed except for one thing!

I can't make the difference between a Game Shark2 and a Codebreaker for PS2! I went to their web site, but still remains the question....

Is their a difference in these 2??
wich one is the best and the easiest to use to your opinion??

thanks a lot for you help

A GS2 or as the new releases are called AR2(Action Replay 2) uses gameshark codes, if u have a sharkport, U can upload code save to your GS2 with it. It has a special memory card called a dongle which U have to put in a memory card slot on your PS2. Many people have had problems with them freezing, or losing their codes.

A codebreaker2 is a similar unit, but uses your own memory card to store your manually entered codes, so it doesn't take up a mem card slot with a dongle. U can't upload code saves to it with a sharkport. The early versions of codebreaker2 could use both GS2 codes and CB2 codes. The new releases of CB2 (V4 and up) can only use CB2 codes. I have never heard of anyone losing codes or having it freeze. Out of the two of them the CB2 is easier to use.

Both are CD based cheat devices, so U have to put the cd in the PS2 and turn on the codes U want, then put in the game disc.

If U will be using it only for hybriding GT3, then get a sharkport instead, but if you want it for entering cheat codes for other games, or other types of codes for GT3 in addition to hybrid codes, U will need one of the other two.

Heydu pretty much explained it. If you only want to do hybrids get a Sharkport. They cost about US$30 but its well worth it. You will be able to upload replays, gamesaves, amke hybrids and more...
