To me my cars dont seem to have a scratch on them, is this feature not implemented yet? sure does cost a ****load tough... :yuck:

What's the point of washing / cleaning up your car ?

It's all in our heads guys ;)

EDIT #1:
Structural rigidity is a nice feature, but for me i see it as a reassurance/peace of mind for the most maniac of us (in trying to keep our car in shape)?

It would be the same thing as asking the little girl playing Barbie, "what's the point of buying your Barbie a Doll House?"

Just accept it ;) and return playing Barbie, hum, i meant Man Furismo 5

EDIT #2: someone ought to test out this feature:
- go take one of your cars,
- drive it around a track,
- destroy it as much as you can,
- leave the practice session/race
- take the same car to another track
- observed whether the behavior of the car is any different or still being affected by the damages you incurred to it in the previous race
- IF so, take the same car to have its rigidity fixed.
- Take the same car, (assuming rigidity has been fixed), to yet another track
- observe whether the behavior has improved or not...

Could someone please confirm?

Unless the handling of your car has noticeably deteriorated to the point where you cannot keep it on the road without great effort, there is no point.

I have read somewhere that the damage will increase later in the game. I too don't see any point on spending so much money on my Honda Civic (P). As soon as I can afford the Murcielago LP 640 i will never go back to Honda.

Is this feature working ? I'm thinking this would be connected to the damage model they are introducing with this next patch?

has anyone noticed any difference in handeling after fixing the car ?

I've abused the crap out of my ZR1 and it didn't take long for it to lose its rigidity. It started feeling less responsive and wouldn't hook up well on turns after about 1000 miles and three roll overs. I flipped the 125,000 bucks and it feels a ton better.

Get the increase rigidity thing and it stays solid for a long while.

At least the doll house exists.

In GT4 the chassis refresh did restore and improve the handling of the car.

However the deterioration took place over an extended time of use.

In this game you can race a car once, never cause any damage and it will need 250,000cr worth of repair afterwards

Who cares about oil change and washing, its only 300cr.

Just another indicator the game was not thought out and tested very well.

If you go 3 laps.. you don't need it ..

if you added 100k miles to that car you bought at the beginning of the game.. well it couldn't hurt but i still don't think its needed

When actual damage takes a toll on driving.. (read the December damage update) you probably still wont need it ..

Damage is currently resetting after every race.. and I'm not to sure of a "accumulative" damage going on yet.

Your horsepower will deteriorate if you don't give it a regular oil change, also when you buy a car off the used lot, change the oil for the cheapest HP upgrade in the game (for used cars).

Rigidity is more of a long term, think of it as more something that will eventually come up for a car you drive a LOT that you'll do when the handling starts to suck.
