What's up with online??

When I enter certain lobbies online the lag is unbelievable. I can be driving along behind someone and all I can see is them bouncing off barriers and turning left and right in a very spastic fashion!!! The car just looks like a toy car being thrown about, I can't race or drive online when it's this bad.

TDU2 and COD games have next to no lag when I play them online. So what's the big deal with this unbelievable online play??!! :ouch::nervous:
 
Strange.. I have no lag at all in GT5, but in COD games I have lag all the time :dunce: What net speed do you have?

EDIT: When you join lobbies online then make sure you check how good connection the host have 👍
 
How do I check for a good connection to online lobbies?

We're supposed to have 8 meg broadband and a speedtest tells me that we are getting that 8 meg broadband speed.

When in the open lobby menu you can see the strength bars on the right to each room.
 
Your probs just joining poor quality hosts who for some reason thing they can host a 16 player race when they would barely manage 4.
 
Thanks very much people, joining servers with good connections made the racing as slick as butter. :dopey:
 
I've noticed a similar thing as you, although to be fair, it's probably because I don't check the online quality of host.

This is why as host, depending on connection, I have no intention of waiting until sixteen players join and that I am willing to race with only two players, myself included.
