What's up with the "imported_x" names?

As I looked in the list of today's birthdays, I noticed two usernames: imported_Dopplegagger and imported_Da-bomber (happy birthday to them). I thought they might be ForzaPlanet users who didn't have a GTP account and got that prefix as a result, but can someone confirm this?
 
I noticed that as-well. :p
Perhaps they're just friends, or maybe it relates to some sort of racing group/team. :)

If you had an account at ForzaPlanet with the same username as that of a user at GTPlanet, "imported_" will now appear at the beginning of your name and you will need to change it. Send me a private message with the new account name you would like to use.
