I'd be inlined to say its based around the Seasonal Events, make it easier for people to pick cars they need to complete those challenges.

It's simple. If there are X spots available and only Y can be filled with useful cars, the difference is filled with Skylines. Seems like a very basic concept over at PD

Id very much doubt you can win the seasonal GT-R event in anything other than the modern R35 GT-R, the older models are much slower in game, you need to be running times in the 1.28 range to beat it. The modern GT-R can do that and faster fairly easy, but the older Skylines are about 3-5 seconds slower per lap, even at the same power levels.

I believe if the cars were pokemon, Skylines would be the annoying ones you always run into in the grass. Seriously, overkill...

I've been looking for the '70 2000GT-R HT for, like , a month. I believe that they put that car there on purpose. Before the patch, I only seen it once out of 30 something races and who know how many special events.

Also there was a truck or two sprinkled in there. I remember, a little after launch, a lot of people were having trouble finding trucks. I think they added the online dealship to make some of the rare cars more available.

Its almost as if the sole focus of the last patch was to make progression in the game easier(i guess, that would be the word to use..)

Yea my R32 is weird. I used it to beat pretty much all of the races that were not Restricted to make and model. I detuned it to 462hp and only got 7th on the first try,

All skylines are born equal but some skylines are more equal than others. You're right. It is hard to find certain and specific ones. I usually buy 2 from each generation. 1 to tune, the other I keep stock. Well, its hard finding them all twice.

Sorry to say but Kaz is definitely bias to his Skylines and what not. I was seriously dissapointed when i seen there was gonna be over 50 of them in the game. I like the car but, c'mon.. 50+? That is total overkill.

I'm not particularly fussed about newer Skylines but the '73 2000GT-R "Ken Meri" is an awesome car and a lot of fun to drive. And I hadn't seen the '70 model at all before, also a very nice car

There are definitely some rarer used cars than others but perhaps that's for another thread.
