Whats Wrong With My PS3?

When I turn my PS3 on with a game inserted it will not load the game and I'll have to re-insert the disc. Then when I try to play a game it will crash on the main menu. Also when I press the PS button in a game it will get jammed. All the discs are clean btw.

Make sure PS3 is up to date.
Are you using ATUO START disc ON or OFF?

hmm.. I don't know. It might be getting broken?
If no once here can help, call SONY and I think they need to fix it for you.

There is one thing you can try first.

First, make a backup copy of all your save data on a USB drive or memory card.

Then turn off the system.
Now, hold down the power button until you hear three beeps.
Then you will get this menu:

I would go through restoring the File System and rebuilding the Database first to see if that works. If not then go for the full system restore, but you will lose everything on your hard drive. Fortunately, you can download any games you bought from the PlayStation store again.

If that doesn't work then call Sony.

This has happened to my GT5P NTSCJ version when I update to Spec III. The update data was corrupted.
You insert game disc. Tries to load game. unable to load and exist back to main menu of system. What you have to do is delete the game update data (not your game saved data). Update all of it again and it should fine.
