Decided to change up my list

$22K Subaru Impreza WRX STi
01.jpg

$94K Plymouth Superbird
000eu1qid4cs5o0s.640x480

$44K Ford RS200 Replica
Ford_RS_EVO200_Motorsport_Replica_For_Sale_resize.jpg

$20K Factory 5 '33 Hot Rod

That leaves $140K to play with/complete the kit

Good question, wish I could say better.

Gen 1 Celica $10,000

DeLorean $25,000

Studebaker Avanti $30,000

Lada ~$5,000

For a grand total of ~$70,000...

1. 2014 Subaru Forester XT (new) - $28,820.
I own a 2002 Subaru Forester S, and it as an absolute necessity for me. Hands down the best visibility all around of any car I've sat in or driven in, fun to drive (wish it had more power though), and (most importantly) can fit me and all of my brass instruments that I haul to gigs. So, if this is a dream garage, it's going to be the max specced new 2014 Forester, with the turbo of course.

2. 1965 Shelby Cobra Superformance replica - $79,900.
The Cobra is my favorite car of all time and I've always wanted one, but for the sake of this garage budget I won't get an actual CSX 4000 like I would if the budget were unlimited...and if I ever actually get a Cobra replica I would want to build it myself, but there's no definite price on a build so I just found a complete example I liked.

3. 1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata LS - $6,800. It's got the hard top, a roll bar, and racing seats/harness. My perfect cheap weekend/fun/track car.

4. Local Motors Rally Fighter - $99,900. Because.

5. 1992 Acura NSX - $40,995. I realized today that what I really want is an old NSX, so here it is. :p

Total comes out to $385 shy of $250,000. :D

Im happy with these :):dopey::drool:

I am going to assume that I have $250k to spend on cars and that includes insurance and maintenance.

I need a completely useless grocery getter. MAZ-537-Hurricane

Since I live close to work, I want one of these,

Flawless choices.

That's roughly between 180 and 190,000 Euro then, so let's see (conveniently forgetting costs of maintenance, etc. for now).

Found several SM's for roughly 30,000 Euro, has to be a bronze one though (or a very dark blue).

Found this 450SEL 6.9 for 17,950 Euro.

Roughly another 30,000 for a Fiat Dino Coupé.

fiat_dino_1967_pictures_1.jpg

67,450 for this used example.

maserati-granturismo-4-2-automaat-4927367-1.jpg

27,950 for this used one.

5,970 for used (but low mileage) everyday runabout/city/shopping car.

Hmmm, still around 10 grand left to buy stuff on a frenzy.

Used - '98 Subaru Impreza - 75000km - $7000

Used - http://cars.oodle.com/detail/1955-c.../]"Unmolested" '55 Corvette - 98000k - $75000

Used - '69 Chevy Corvette - 80km - $29000 <-Questionable listing?

Used - '98 Acura NSX - 40000k - $38000

New - '13 Mini Countryman ALL4:
screensnapz.png

$189000 in total, rest can be spent on restoration, upgrading parts, paintjobs, and change of wheels.

I would've picked one luxury car like a Mercedes SLS AMG but it alone is over $200000 and I rather have more rides than one car hogging up the budget.

Compact rides (or compact-looking rides) always looked cute and I do intend on driving one before I die. A more affordable option to the Countryman would've
been the '12 Ford Fiesta, but if I have the money to spend, I'd take the Mini easily. It's AWD too, take that thing off-road with a few tweaks.

The '98 Impreza has been a long-time favourite of mine. I'd fix that baby up with the left over money, and prep it for some dry-tarmac rally driving.

And while the Subaru doesn't have a beast performance potential of a high-tier high-performance sports car, that's why I've added to the dream garage an Acura NSX. It you guys know me (which you probably don't), I love Lotus Elises & Exiges. However, I do get the feeling I wouldn't enjoy driving that car over time which is why I picked the NSX which has a beefier status than the Lotus.

I have a soft spot for old American cars. I've always picture this one car in my head with a cute facade, absolutely eye-catching in a solid red and to top it off with white-wall tires which I'm weak for, I find out that it was a C1 Vette this whole time. Even if the one listed was gold, I'd still drive it.

Lastly, I had a hard time picking between a '69 Camaro SS and a '69 Corvette. I've come to love Muscle cars and I have associated images with each one, the Camaro being the beast that tore up your neighbourhood, and the Corvette being the fancy sleek ride that would make a beautiful cruiser. I chose the latter as the overall boxier roof of the Camaro didn't sit well with me.

(You don't mind if I revive this thread, do you?)
GBP will be the currency used in this post, since 250,000, when converted to HKD, can't buy me anything that I actually desired.

If I had 150,000 pounds, I'd buy:

An used Aston Martin DBS - 92,000 pounds

A new KTM X-Bow 'Clubsport' - 55,000 pounds

Total - 147,000 pounds

The Aston Martin is one of my favourite-looking cars, so no matter how much it costs, it's still on my list. The KTM X-Bow doesn't have any use at all. I choose it simply for its striking looks and weight.
The remaining 3,000 pounds is probably used to change the Aston's wheels to 20" alloy ones.
If I were to choose something more practical than the X-Bow, that'd be the Subaru BRZ (24,995 pounds).

Those two.

Only 15k for an F-550 and $500 for a Crown Victoria? Do they not come with an engine?

I would have got a Ford GT but I didn't realize they have appreciated from the $180k-200k range that they used to be in to the $230k-260k range. :(

Oh dear, let's see...

2002-2006 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (S?) / 2011+ Aston Martin V8 Vantage S - $100k-120k - This would depend on availability. Not sure which I'd prefer honestly.
1991 Acura NSX - $38k - Pretty much my ideal spec here (red with black roof, manual transmission, though only 3.0L).
2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe - $30k - Really tempted by an E46, but have to say this instead on account of Canadian rarity.
2000 BMW M5 - $20k - I'd need a sedan, why not one of the best? Q'porte's have nearly dropped to this price now too...
1990's Mazda NA Miata - $5k - Always the right answer.
1990's Mazda NA Miata w/ Monster conversion - $15k - :D
1990's Mazda FD RX-7 - $20k - Too good looking to let go.
2000 Acura Integra Type R - $20k - It must be done.

That's $248k if I use the lower end of the Aston range. It's not perfect, as it's missing a few of my favourites (any Lotus, a 96 Viper GTS for collecting purposes), but the two Bimmers and the stock-engined MX-5 could collectively take care of any daily driving.

Hmm, well I'm in Australia so...

Dream Car option:
1 AM DBS or 997 GT3 RS @ $250K

OR;

Newer option:
2 a A45 AMG @ $75K
2 b Alfa 4C @ $75K
2 c Porsche Cayman S @ $100K

OR;

Practical option:
3 a 2002 AM Vanquish @ $140K
3 b MY12 VW Polo GTi @ $30K
3 c L322 Range Rover Vogue @ $80K

OR;

Assorted dream cars option:
4 a NA1 Honda NSX @ $85K
4 b E60 BMW M5 @ $80K
4 c R34 GT-R @ $60K
4 d Honda S2000 @ $25K

OR;

Luxury-barge option:
5 a WM Holden Statesman @ $25K
5 b Mercedes S350 @ $60K
5 c Audi R8 @ $165K

OR;

Other option:

6 a ITR @ $20K
6 b R35 GTR @ $110K
6 c VW Scirocco R @ $40K
6 d $80K left over in case the R35's clutch fails multiple times over the next few years.

But really, I'd be happy with just one of any of the above cars...

Hmmm... what am I in the mood for at the moment?

Let's pretend I live someplace insulated from such things as "high taxes"...

Caterham-Seven-160-1-600x400.jpg

$20k (I guess?) Caterham Super Seven 160 - Or I could buy a Locost. I don't care either way, but winging around in something so light and basic is appealing to me. (Three cylinders! Only thing better would be a Harley-powered edition. :D )

On that note:
Morgan-1_1938505b.jpg

$40k Morgan Three-wheeler - Okay, not a Harley motor, but close enough.

File:Ford_F-150_Raptor_SVT_-_blue_front.jpg

$40-50k Ford Raptor - Just because I need a daily driver.

2014-Mazda-6.jpg

$25k Mazda6 - Okay, more seriously, I need a daily driver. Besides... why buy a big, boring, caged sports car when I've already got a Caterham? The Mazda6 will do for the times I feel like hooning around with AC, and it'll serve as a family car in a pinch.

jimny1.jpg

$25k - Suzuki Jimny, set up. Just because my dream garage wouldn't be complete without one.

Hey... I'm still $100k short. What a ridiculous amount of money. Here, I was picking brand new cars hoping to use it up right away... hmmm.

114aad9aba54762.jpg

$10k (or so, secondhand) Baja Bug - Can't have too many off-roaders, right?

100_1157.JPG

$25k - Morris Mini converted to B16A power. So I get to enjoy a Mini without putting up with British electricals, and I get to enjoy VTAK without getting odd looks from grumpy old men.

Supersport-GTX-car-and-logo.jpg

$65k - 999 Motorsports Supersport. So there. A racing car. Should keep everyone happy.

$250k won't buy me either of my dream cars (Singer & CGT), so I'd have to settle for...

997GT3 RS (gen2) - there's a reasonable choice at £92-95k, sub 10k miles (c.$150k on current exchange rates), but mostly white or grey. I'd hang around for a blue with red combo.
Maccan (when they are released) - will be able to get quite a nice one for £60-65k ($100k). Biggest diesel engine available with a high spec interior. If a Cayenne S (V8 diesel) came up 2nd hand at c.£60k I'd take that.

Covers daily, weekend and track cars.

Bowler EXR.

Land-Rover-x-Bowler-EXR-3.jpg

Oh dear, I appear to have used my entire budget, save ten grand. In which case I'm getting one of these £10,000 AC Cobra replicas that I found on AutoTrader.
