What's your favorite A-spec race or series? Drop your thoughts here!

One thing I like about GT5 is the diversity of events. There are races for different cars, countries, drivetrains, etc.

My personal favorite is the Lupo Cup Car race at the Nürburgring. No, you don't earn much money or experience for it, but for me it is such a joy :D Just good, fun racing. And unlike other events, the restrictions are very tight, calling for a close race.

Which event is your favorite?

But the AI drives stock Gallardos while you can fully tune yours to about 760 HP so it doesn't prove much. The FGT championship is a good one.
 
i bought mine and left it at default HP but tuned everything else

i also give a nice paint job and rims so it looks nice :D
 
La Sarthe in the DCC, by a margin. Ideally, I'd like it to be much longer though, and no, not 24 hours, that's way too long. Wished the number of laps and the conditions were configurable in A-Spec.

I agree the FGT is a tight, tight series, especially when you get into the tournament stage where you go race to race and don't get to change your oil so your HP drops. The only advantage you could possibly have is by racing it a few times, changing the oil and doing an engine rebuild getting it to 935 hp. That's only about 50 hp more than the others. It's significant when the cars weigh so little but it's still calls for quality driving skills because they can draft on you.

Either that series or the Lightweight Cup!

Isn't the lightweight cup the one that's glitched and allows you to use any car in it?

Not that I can remember. If I recall correctly there is a weight or HP limit to it.
 
Quite like that race in extreme against all the Japanese cars. I raced it with a McLaren F1 with all aero pieces and adjustable transmission. It was a hard championship.
 
FGT Championship. The competitive nature actually spawns heated races full of spins and crashes.
 
I like the nurburgring event in the first German only section on extreme. Great track and not a huge selection of cars that are ridiculously powerful like the veyron and zonda which keeps it even
 
Dream Car Championship is fun in the right car and beating that Jag!!!
 
British lightweights a really good fun challenge
 
Super GT is quite competitive. The DTM series isn't, but the cars and the tracks make it a winner for me. Taking one of the Audis around the 'Ring is a blast.
 
Super GT, if you don't use the X2010. Or The Lupo Cup, I agree.
 
The A-Spec races are whatever you choose to get out of them. No one forces you to use the most overpowered car you have available.

That being said, All Stars is my favorite.

I use a stock GT 350
 
I personally loved the Super GT. I didn't know you could use any Japanese cars, so I bought myself a Honda Takata Dome. It was really competitive.

I think the challenges (such as NASCAR/tour/rally/Mercedes nurburg) are some of the more difficult/rewarding races of the game. Which is odd considering they're bonus events as opposed to the actual game.

AI difficulty adjustment please? :)

Those cars keep a good exitement level whit all assists off. FUN STUFF
 
At the moment I'm loving the 4 hours of green hell as well as the super GT championship. Only problem with the supterGT is that even with a stock super GT car the AI is in no way competitive. I've beaten it yesterday with the NSX RM '91 with a gap of 10-20 seconds per race (while the NSX weights ~50kg more and has ~100hp less)

But the green hell is gorgious :D
 
I probably had the most fun while driving the Miura in some italian or Lamborghini challenge. And relatively early in, I used the GNX to win some FR event or whatever that was called, that was fun too.

Relatively speaking. In retrospect it seems kinda boring and I seriously wonder how this "game" could cost me 2 months of my free time. :crazy:
 
Nurburgring 4hr endurance race ... completed this various times now with propgressively slower rides and it never fails to excite me!

Although non A-Spec I've been spending plenty of time doing 2 lap 'one make races' around the Nurburgring in vehicles such as the Motor Sport Elise and Clio Cup Car ... most fun i've had in the game so far! 👍
