Wheel Blur question

I've been working on adding motion blur to stationary shots, and I can make the BG blur without problems, but when I try to use radial blur on the wheels, on some shots it does this...

...and no matter what I do, it doesn't look right. This happens to me on some shots but not others. Does anybody know why this happens and what I could do to fix it? I would much appreciate if somebody would help me, if possible.

If I read this correctly, you may have to section off the wheel from the space around it. What you where doing before was creating a radial blur towards the center of the entire picture instead of the center of the wheel. You can use the polygon tool to work with the wheel area only and it may work.

I selected the wheel, it just doesn't work like it did on another pic I edited.

Did you read through the Wheel Blur tutorial posted here by 440Charger?

I think you added the wheel blur incorrect. Go through 440 Charger's tutorial posted above by daan, it'll show you what you did wrong. Be sure to select only the rim and then when applying a radial blur, it must be centered 👍
