Wheel drifting not working right

So I'm using a t150 and I just started drifting on GT6 today. I noticed that on tunes where I would usually need to fully countersteer to not spin, any countersteering would fling it back around. Is it a problem with me or the game?

I've not even played GT6 in a long time but one thing I will say is that what I remember of GT6 with a wheel is that it is heavily based around throttle control.

With wheel my front wheels randomly find grip when I countersteer, regardless of throttle input

I use a G27, and always recalibrate to ~450degrees. Helps for drifties
