My dad has a 2000 Subaru Legacy. He bought a set of winter tyres a month or so ago already mounted on wheels, but they didn't come with the centre hub caps, so I was hoping to find a set for his birthday. I don't know what the wheels are, so I ask the collective minds of GTP to identify them. Ta!

No markings on them anywhere?

As far as the center caps go, you could just measure the diameter of the hole and find something that works. Unless you want them to be 100% original?

^ Second that. It will probably be easier and cheaper to just find a set that will fit, than to find the ones that possibly came with the wheel.

They aren't hubcentric, so I doubt they're factory Subaru, but I'd definitely check for some kind of markings on them. Especially on the insides of the spokes.

Looks like it's possibly a factory Subaru wheel.

Yep. Pretty sure that they're factory Subaru items - although it will be a wheel manufacturer who produces them for Subaru.

The only markings I could see from Roo's picture were the two Japanese-standard type marks - the little wiggly JWL, and the VIA mark. So they're certainly Japanese, but with all those extra holes for different fittings they don't look factory.

Did a bit of google searching and I couldn't find what Subaru they're fitted on as standard, so I don't see them being OEM.

Thanks for the replies everybody. It gives me something to go on - knowing what they aren't is almost as good as knowing what they are. I'll have a closer look at the wheels next time I see him and see what I can find.

I've never heard of an OEM using multi-pattern wheels so I'm fairly sure they're aftermarket. As others have suggested, try taking a wheel off and looking for markings on the inside. Sometimes a manufacturer is listed, sometimes not.
