New here, Been lurking and collecting some great setups. Thanks to all!!

When posting settings should there be a destiction between wheel and hand controler? I sense that some of the setups Ii have tryed with my wheel do not work very well. I am guessing they where setup using controller. This could lead to very different results. Or could they?

Here is my controller setup

Looks sweet dude! Well i seem to nitice a difference between a wheel and a controller as well. With your setup I woulnd'nt wanna change to controller anymore ;) Just try to adjust the settings a little bit, so it handles as you want it to with your wheel.

wow that is an amazing setup
poops all over mine
where did you get the stuff?

That's awesome, I currently have the Playseat but am thinking of doing some modifications to it.

That's a killer setup you got there! 👍 If I had that, I would never go back to a controller for any racing games. Also, people do build cockpits to sit in while using a handheld controller, to get a sensation of a racing feel. However, most cockpits are for a wheel. And if you build a cockpit based on someone else's cockpit, you have to put in the sliding seats, or else it maybe too small or too large, resulting in your legs being uncomfortable while using the pedals.

By the way, how much was that cockpit of your's? Where did you get it? You don't have to answer these, but I'd like to know.

Watch the language, please. The swear filter is there for a reason.

It's an interesting question, MOBIL1. I've used both a wheel and a DS2, and I can't say that I've changed my settings style between the two. It's been more a matter of adjusting my driving technique to fit what you can do with a wheel compared to the analog sticks.

However, it is true that settings frequently do not translate well from person to person. It's certainly possible that they do not translate well from contoller to controller.

Ok then wheel or controller should not be as big as diffrence than personal style.

I got my sim from a company called redlineracing.
Do web search you will find it.

I chose to go with the unpainted kit and the best seat they offered.
cost was about 600 or 700.

I sealed ot sanded it then did the 3 tone paint. Made up decals and applied them. Over shot with poly clear.

There is another company in Aus that makes them also. Hypersimulator.

I think I perfer there design but I did not feel I wanted to have it shipped from so far away. Have dealt with air frieght from Aus before? Can be frustrating.

I think the next one will be there's though.

Here is a picture of Hypersims design that I used to get my paint idea from.
Simulair but not the same.

If any body decides to go for one of these sims I highly recomend having them paint it for you. Atleast the base color. Then you can layer on other colors on top as you see fit. Saves a lot of time!!! and you will be up and racing in no time.

My only wish is that M-soft would have built in some support for wheels. Or after market (Logitech) would make a decent wheel for the xbox. Or a adapter for this one.
On the list to get Forenza but now not so sure I will. There is no going back to hand controller for me. :)

Oh yea. The nose folds up into the seat. The wheel slides forward and back for best comfort the pedals slide forward and back and is adjusable up and down and tilt. Can sit in this thing for hours. Very comfy for none driving games too.

I have it sitting in front of my 60 inch sony but one could add a shelf to the nose and put a smaller screen on it. That is what I will do later on. Plan to put ps2, xbox and pc all tucked into the back area behind the seat. Will have a complete mobile game center.

Other idea is to mount mirrors and a rear wing. Get some small cube type speakers and mount them in the mirrors and 2 under the wing. Mobile surrond sound too.
