Wheel problem, any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'm using a Thrustmaster wheel and after 2 years of use with no problems, the strangest thing happened. I was in practice mode at the 'ring in a yellowhat GTR 08 and at the (grid) start, the engine revved but the car didn't move. The accel/brake meter was working, the wheels were steering, I checked my connections and such. So I switched the whole PS3 down and rebooted and it was fine.

Then (and here's the strange part) I was racing online in my own lounge using several different JTC cars and none of them would accelerate past about 220 km/h. I checked the settings against the friend I was racing with (identical cars) to see if I wasn't having a special moment, but they were fine. I reassigned the control to the ds3 and it was fine. How can the acceleration meter be reading full and be holding back at low speed in 4th gear?

What gives here?
 
Sounds like whichever button you use for your EBrake might be sticking a little, and yes it is possible to have your Ebrake slightly engaged without the light on holding u back..
 
I'll have a look at that and reassign my buttons, thank you sir.

I reassigned the Ebrake to the horn instead so I could tell if it came on intermittently or was on all the time.....and whaddya know, my car sounds like the roadrunner.... Indeed nice catch and thank you once again @JG 👍
