Hey guys,

so yesterday i just hooked up the T300RS wheel to the Pro and enjoy it quite a bit. don't think i can go back to controller driving now.
but can any of you explain to me what exactly the difference is between ffb max torque and ffb sensitivity?
also, what settings do you recommend on the three wheel settings in the menu
steering sens, ffb torque, ffb sens

also glad about any other hints or tips

The steering sensitivity is for controllers and don't affect the wheel

I also use the T300 and I tend to use 3-3 or 4-4 but I feel I have better control using 3-3. Sometimes I find the FFB a bit on the strong side when I have it on 4 and sometimes I feel like it's not strong enough on 3. I probably need to just leave it in 4 and just get better.

i feel that when the car starts to oversteer, that the ffb is starting to feel way too heavy compared to how it feels when just normal cornering or understeer. i only experienced oversteer in real life once and i cant exactly remember how the wheel felt in that moment, if it got as heavy all of a sudden. but maybe, yes.

I agree 100% it does feel heavy.

I am new to the sim racing world and have no experience with any others games with my wheel. So I don't have much to base anything off of. I do love the overall feel of my T300, but I feel like GTS could have a bit better detail for there support of the wheel. But like I said I'm not sure because this is really my first time using a wheel.

i also tested the T300RS on Assetto Corsa on my PC and it is definitely more detailed there.
also the oversteering FFB is kind of the same from the heavy-aspect so it seems to be normal that oversteering feels heavy. after all, you have to catch the car weight trying to snap on you.
but it would be appreciated if some wheel-veterans would say something :)

I'm using a G29 with 7 - 3 and the ffb is minimal, I can't really feel anything albeit a slight heaviness to the movement of the wheel in corners unless I'm hitting an apex or I go off track. Every track with the exception of the nurburger feels like you're driving on Ice but I've learned to rely on auditory aids so I don't spin out as often. It's strange how for example in Project Cars I can feel every bump and imperfection in the track on the lowest of settings.. where GT sport just feels dead in comparison but I've learnt how to deal with it.

T300 here, don't know about Pcars, but in Pcars 2 I had to use the Jack Spade custom files to get the ffb right. When trying from within the game itself it was a nightmare. Even randomly overiding what I had set at one point. Went to race and my ffb was hard as a rock and each turn of the wheel was so grossly magnified that it was ridiculous all this after just quitting the day before and everything being perfect.

I will say that once I got it set right with the custom files it is much more responsive than the GTS ffb.

There isn't much you can do except hope that they will rectify it in a future update, like somebody said assetto corsa is the bees knees, the dog danglies, the shin and dig. Get it together gts, your ffb is toilet!

I recently got a T300 as well and I'm at 4-2 or 5-2. I haven't played with it much but the FFB is definitely stronger than the DFGT I have before. Happy as is but may tweak around some.

It definitely does do something for wheels. I use it when I race carts. I put the sensitivity to -2. It’s more or less a dead one option I’m fairly certain. You can tell when you go into cockpit view the most. Play with it and watch the animation of the hands as you raise and lower sensitivity. I keep mine at 7 normally.

Try first low values for ffb strength and high for the ffb detail.
For example 2/8 or 2/9 or 2/10.

When having the details up you are going to feel more ''road noise'', kerbs, under/oversteer better and quicker.
Then set the ffb strength in a value that it feels more natural to you. Avoid very high values for ffb strength to avoid ffb clipping. For the t300 do not go beyond 5 or 6 if you want a heavy wheel feeling.

I use 3 or 4 / 2. FFB Sensitivity at less than 2 makes the steering too light in a straight line for me. I don’t see any benefit in having higher ffb sensitivity and don’t find that it provides more detail. To me it just makes the steering feel artificially heavy and numb.

I’m surprised there isn’t a comprehensive sticky on settings and use of the various wheels on this forum. Would have been mighty helpful getting my Fanatec dialed in. I did find settings on here eventually.
