Yesterday I got a Logitech G27 delivered, which I got fropm Play.com for £150 delivered. I was reliably informed that this was a bargain.
I hooked it up last night, and spent a few hours playing GT5 on PS3. I loved it.
However the wheel clamps weren't working too well on my desk, and so I need to find another solution.
I need something that doesn't take up too much space… so just a wheel stand, not a cockpit! Also it'd be great if it would fold down with the wheel and pedals attached. I also need a place for the gearshift to go, and would consider it a bonus if this could be on the left, and a little lower than the wheel itself.
The obvious choice seems to be the Wheel Stand Pro. I have also seen on ebay one by IANRAX which looks good.
I know this is a topic that has been covered again and again, but wqhat I really want to know is how stable the WSP is, from people who use them, and if there are any others that anyone would recommend.

I only really want to spend max £150 (ish!)

I've used WSP few times and it has done it's job well enough always. Should be plenty good enough I think for you. Don't know about the shifter adapters they have though.

Thanks Timppaq,

I seem to have narrowed it down to
WSP
v
GT Omega Steering Wheel stand (Apiga)

I can find loads of opinions on the WSP... but not much about the Apiga.

Ssandyzoo if this is of any help to you I can tell you my history.

I built a stand very similar to the GT Omega. It was wood not steel though. Very adjustable and solid under use. I could not have thought there would be a better one available. However my young puppy decided that it would make a great chew toy.

She ate the right hand side adjusting strut. That kind of meant I was in the market for a new one. Christmas was comming and my good wife wanted to buy me one for Christmas so (GT Omega wasn't on Ebay at the time) I went for the WSP Deluxe for my G25.

If the Omega had been there I'd probably have gone for it. I think it would have been a mistake as the WSP is so fast to set up and is as rock steady as my old stand. I don't even notice the bar after a few uses.

Speed of set-up was a big thing for me as I have to pack away my wheel. WSP just one quick lock and a twist of the wheel bracket shelf and its packed away.Well it fits nicely into the corner away from puppy teeth.

Hope that helps a little.
