Hey, i would know pros and cons from each support between Wheel Stand like (Omega GT Stand, Wheel Stan Pro, CSL Stand...) and full rig (Obutto, CSL seat, rseat...)
which is the best if we are looking for sturdiness and comfort

thanks

A wheel stand is a great space compromise, but is not as ergonomic as a good rig. For the wheel stand, I recommend the Wheel Stand Pro. My friend has one and it's quite good.

For the rig, the ultimate in comfort in sturdiness is the Human Racing GT Chassis. There is a reason Inside Sim Racing has one in the background :)

I started out with a wheel stand, and car seat mounted to a base.
I used it for close to 3 years.

Wheel stand + seat is probably the most bang for budget.
Biggest disadvantage I found with wheel stand was lift off when doing hard transitions.
Center post on wheel stand or rig is not a big deal if you have a seat with sliders.

A little over a year ago I built the 80/20 rig in my signature.

Full rig is more stable, but more of a pain to store if you can't leave it out 24/7.
If you go with a commercial rig, try to verify your posterior likes the rig's seat beforehand.
If you intend to get a wheel like a T500 or CSW, make sure wheel deck has good supports.

Pilmat's HRC is very nice but it will cost you a fair amount of $, as will 80/20.
Quite a few people I know, have and really like their Obuttos.
I am 6.2 and felt as if I was an accordion when I sat in CSL.

From the been-there-done-that dept.

very good setup you got there pilmat 👍.

thanks for these info

@pilmat
Human Racing is no doubt a great rig but has also very expensive cost
budget isnt really an issue but over 1000 $/€/£, it does

@Jogo
your rig is great, how did you build this?
i am not really good with my hands that why i would rather look for commercial rig
moreover, i want it compact because i havent dedicated room for racing, living room isnt extensible lol
most of rigs i have seen are quite heavy or having many options such as keyboard, triple screens which i dont feel the need to own
e.g Obutto, great rig according review but these keyboard and triple screens support make it huge
CSL seat seems to be the right cockpit unless anyone knows anything else like this?
(the only con i may notice with CSL, its about the seat, according some reviews, it does not hold well your back)

Rig: I built it using 80/20, for around $300 less than HRC give or take, its not cheap.
There is a dedicated thread for the CSL here at GTP in Hardware section, do a search.
There is also at least one dedicated thread for CSL at InsideSimRacing.

Best thing I can advise is to correspond with people that own what you are interested in.

The Obutto R3volution footprint is around 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 feet or so. So it's probably smaller than you think. Triple screens are going to make any rig have a larger footprint, obviously depending on how big your screens are.

i will use rig for both console and pc, living room and bed room
i cant imagine moving Obutto every time i want to switch

i am thinking about this solution: GT Omega Wheel Stand with rear seat frame
it is going to be as expensive as CSL seat
i think i am going to choose one or the other
can anyone help me about that hard choice?

Well, no. You won't be moving an Obutto around if that's what you require.

Disclaimer: I haven't USED either, I have an Obutto oZone... that said, I like the GTOmega setup more than the CSL, based on the pedal plate and especially the seat. I hear the seat in the CSL isn't all that great but the GTO seats get alot of praise.

sorry but i did not fin main CSL Seat thread
i am eventually going to pick CSL Seat over all
i have one question, i am big fan of F1 and after some research, it appears we can tilt position back such as F1 car
only issue would be adding some support to prevent it from rear toppling
any tips/advices about it?

I have this one. It is a great solution if you need to move rig in the onother place, or dismout it. I chose it, becouse I have no place to leave it 24/7 and I must mount and dismount it every time. It is not very dificult. Wheelstand isn't very stable on slow corners when you must turn wheell very fast, but it isnt a big problem for me. If I could leave it 24/7, of course I would by a dismountable rig.

do you get full rig with rear seat frame?
i ve seen their racing seat that cost alot
wether i need to buy it separatly from another cheaper brand, will it be compatile with?

Yes, I have GT wheelstand and rear seat frame. I've got aditional second hand bucket seat, but it was very uncomfortable for me and now I use stock used Recaro seat (cost me about 45 pounds). If you will decide to by not GT seat, look at the seat fixing bolt points, because the rear seat frame isnt wide. I must used some frame, which came with bucket seat to fix it onto GT frame, because seat holes (about 40,5 cm) were to wide. It is not dificult to do some metal frame by yourself. I saw new Sparco seats which fits perfectly onto GT frame, but they were to expencive for me (about 200 pounds).
I have spend 79 pounds for stand (it was preoder price) + 15 pounds shiping, rear seat frame with gear shift holder - 55 pounds + 15 punds shiping. So it isnt cheap.

Be carefull trying that out, I have a feeling raising the front end like that will throw off the center of gravity of the whole rig and making it really easy to tip over backwards. The CSL seat is really lightweight, and the seat is just a this cover over a lawn chair like frame. I'm not trying to bask on the CSL seat, I like it too but watch the review of it at insidesimracing if you haven't already, you'll get the idea.

i got it but i really want to figure it out
it could be the most cheapest F1 rig if it brings sturdiness and stability overall
i draw up an idea:
in order to prevent back from rear toppling, we need a piece of wood that handles the front of cockpit with 2 small fixed columms on the bottom of tubes
too bad that Fanatec never thought there many demands for F1 cockpit
they could improve the former Rhinoseat into the best compromise and rig that would please for each other

Once you build the wood frame you'll need to have a CSL seat in that position it won't be very light or moveable, but that's a pretty good idea IMO for the F1 fans out there!!

If you leave the front of the rig just shy of vertical there shouldn't be an issue with flipping back.

i know it wont be barely movable, i will use my unused coffee table, cutting it off and insert below CSL
it might be not needed to have fixations between them
coffee table cost = 30$
whole cost = 330$
definitely it should worth the effort
rseat Formula / Playseat are overpriced imo, over 1000$
heavy cockpit, only one position
of course, i like F1 type but not all time, i kinda enjoy most of racing sim (not big fan of oval track racing lol)
i am going to order CSL Seat anyway
i hope that idea of F1 position on CSL would cross some mind over there

Ordered CSL Seat and today, what a surprise, post-man sent me huge Fanatec package.
quite happy, i am currently building it and watching tutorial video from youtube
but something wrong
on blueprint, step 1
S8 screw
Step 2
S9 screw

i have downloaded manual from website
its exact opposite
Step 1
S9 screw
Step 2
S8 screw

did Fanatec update their assembly in order to get more comfortable posture?
i know some owners that swapped S8 and S9 from first two steps

thanks

EDIT: i realized both S8 and S9 size are about same size
WTF?
Fanatec sent me one or others with wrong size?
