During my B-Spec driver's stint in the Nurb 24 hours, I tried to order him to pit but my Driving Force (original not pro) stopped responding, the right hand side light had gone off and all force feedback had stopped.
The Dual Shock 2 plugged in still worked but I figured I'd unplug and replug the wheel in (both USB and power) but it didn't go through the calibration or work at all.
I then unplugged it and plugged it into my pc and it works fine, full force feedback too.
I guess this is just another one of GT4s bugs Theres clearly nothing I can do (I don't want to drive with the dual shock) but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.
I really wanted to drive the full race sharing with the b-spec
Just make sure you put it in the top USB port. I thought mine was broken once but then I realized that I plugged it in the wrong port. If thats not the problem then your USB port must be faulty.
It was in the top USB port and was working fine. Then at some point during my B-Spec driver's stint it ceased working. Itd be a bit strange for a USB port to suddenly become faulty while its not being used or having things plugged in or unplugged.
The old DF wheel is prone to doing that. It happened all the time in GT3, but there you could just unplug it and replug it and only lose a few seconds. In GT4 it happens much less frequently (thankfully) but when it happens you can't get to wheel to work again without resetting the game. I've only had it happen once in the couple months I've had GT4 and I was glad it was a short race it happened in as I had to restart. I didn't think about reverting to the DS2...
hmm gt4 has so much more bugs... they never test anything before releasing it? of course they test it but not throughly and try every concept to make sure... i even have the stupid problem with my disc and now i cant play whatever due to either the ps2 or gt4 i think the disc was burnt wrong i mean i bought it but theres this bug that i havent had in any other ps2 game i own... ok here goes, normally every ps2 cd when u press the reset button it responds right away but my gt4 disc it always does it... when gt4 disc is in and (gain too much miles so i want to reset and dont have to pay etc) it takes 2 or 3 seconds to respond when i press it and when it does... IT TURNS OFF THE SYSTEM as if u just turned the power switch in the back "standby" phase was where it was this is a bug because i tryed my other games (gta3, finally fantasy, gt3 etc...) and it responded quickly... now its just gay stupid ppl who burn cds etc so much formats as in gold silver blue purple whatever RAINBOW??? damn its annoying stick with one and play good gt4 staff whatever sucks at double or even checking it over and over for any bugs flaws or mistakes...
Theres clearly nothing I can do (I don't want to drive with the dual shock) but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.
