Hello...

Now I have insert a Spectrol model 248 / 100 K Ohm precision potentiometer in my Logitech GT-Force wheel.

Wow !!!

The control is much moore better .
The Car follow consistent the minimals't rotation from the wheel.

And it was only 20 min. working time .

I must only the angle of rotation , minimal to enlarge .
( Ca. 15 degrees moore Wheel rotation )

SWEET DUDE!! I'm gonna have to get in contact with ya whenever I finally decide on a wheel and find all its problems, hehe. Keep upgrading :)

Sorry !!!

I'm a little to fast !

The new Potentiometer make truble by new Start from the Playstation.

I will recheck it.

I will make a little adjustment in the ohmic resistsnce.

The original stock is a 96 K Ohm pot and the new is 100 K Ohm

I cant understand it, the Wheel works verry good before closed and the New Start .

Hello...

Please dont reproduce this modify !!!

My loved Logitech GT Force is to be out of order now .

Logitech dont give electronic spare part's for the wheel !!!

Now I must buy a new Wheel for my next attempts .

That's was my first flop .
But I think, not the last. :D

I hope, my sheller, to give my a discount for the next Wheel's !

If You like, You can to commiserate or to laugh at my

Best wishes
Werner

Sorry to hear that Werner. I fried the controller ports on one of my PSX's when i was tinkering with one of my controllers. Live and learn. Glad your PS2 is ok. :)

Thats too bad about the wheel. Seems like you've found something pretty interesting and worth prodding into. Good luck with your future tries.

Thank's for sympathy !

For the time being , I give up !
I 'm have insert the Pot in my new Wheel but it dont work too.

At least the new Wheel is OK after my test.

But I have noticed a difference between the old and the new Wheel !

The new Wheel has a additional mounted ohmic resestance on the motherbord !

Is it a good modify, to make old wheel's better ?
Thats verry interesting for my.

Look at it this way Werner, now you have some spare parts. Does it look like you could put a stronger Force feedback motor in there?

Hello GTjunkie

I cant see a problem !

There is insert a simple 24 Volt DC motor !
You can to exchange for a high effiency 24 Volt DC modeling motor.

The power supply unit , is only for the motor !
Please check the general information by Your selve ! ( I downt know , is there diference between the German and the USA model )

You can buy the effiencys's motor, that the power supply unit , can to drive .

This is the second possibility !

The rack-wheel ,that mount on the motor, is a simple Modul 0,5 modeling rack-wheel, whif 20 sprockets.

If You change it to a rack-wheel under 20 sprockets, the Feedback goes Stronger !

The Force Feedback motion, is not controled by the motor angle.
It is only controled by the Playstation signal and the current Potentiometer resistance . ( current Wheel angle )

The Force Feedback only will to be stronger, whif this modify.

Have a lot of fun !

Please You make it , on Your own risk !

That's a interesting Link !

Thanks for the information Werner.
I just received the Vellman kit that I am ging to use for my rev lights. I will look into the motor swap when I finish the rev lights.

Hi hi

Now , the new Pot work good !!!

And my old Wheel isn't to be broken .

By my first test, I have fixed the Potentiometer- axle,
whif hot glue , but the hot glue don't to agglutinate ,
the steel axle from the Potentiometer.

I dont have seen it .

Now I have only, the Potentiometer- axle to agglutinate whif a other glue and it work !!!

The Playstation cannot to identify the Wheel by start ,
if the wheel ( Potentiometer ) in full rigth or left position !

The driving style, is much differential !

Whif the original stock Pot, the car is easier to control.

Whif the new pot, the control is more regular but it's slower, in the lower case range .

I'm must to accustom to the new driving style.
