Wheel users, are the brakes too sensitive in GT5?

I use a Logitech MOMO wheel while playing GT5 and I find it difficult to control braking. I barely touch the brakes and they lock up.

The guys at Inside Sim Racing are experiencing the same problem too. Check out their review at 27:00 where they talk about the issues that they are having with the the Logitech wheels. They say that all the Logitech wheels have touchy brakes.

Had that on my Logitech DFP, but it went away after I started to floor the brakes before every race...

Oh yes, with a G25 I find quite difficult to drive with no ABS, I always keep it on 1, even gently touching the brakes they just lockup...

Recall how much resistance a real cars brake pedal offers and you will understand why it is so easy to "over brake' in a game.

Youare essentially stomping the brake pedal in game - try that with a real car and see what happens?

It can be helpful to replace the spring in your pedal with a much stiffer unit, place a squash ball under the pedal or simply realise you need to be quite gentle in your applicaiotn of the brake pedal to in anyway resemble the relative ffort you apply to a real cars brake pedal.

For typical A-Spec races, I set my brake bias for front and rear to 0 when I use ABS=0.

However, for Special Events and Licenses where the user is unable to set brake bias, I set ABS=1.

I do not have a problem. Normally I drive with ABS and rarely brake more than 50% pressure but even with ABS off I only have a problem if the brakes are not adjusted properly. After making the brakes 60/40 to the front I find it is not bad at all on most car. The default 50/50 sometimes feels like I used the handbrake instead though.
