Which do you like to use and why?

I have both but I use my controller because my wheel is a crappy ps1, but I like the controller so im sticking with it. :D

It pretty obvious, if you don't own a wheel, you'd like the controller, if you own a crappy wheel, you'd like the controller, BUT if you own a good wheel with Force Feedback, I'd bet 99% will prefer the wheel.

The Driving Force Pro Wheel rules.

please, use the search button, because this have been talk about many times

I use the controller, but I really want to try the wheel. Don't want to shell out the loot for it though...I'd rather buy mods for my real car...;)

I use the driving force pro, and prefer it because it is easier to modulate the rate of steering and acceleration/braking with the pedals.

Wait till GT4 comes out. Drifting with the 900d rotation won't help it last long.

And yes, most people with wheel prefer it than the analog stick.

Won't help it last long as the preferred choice? or won't help it last long as a working product?

I can't wait for the chance to turn on my 900 degree mode and drift. [don't tell, I already know that I can toggle 900 degree mode any time, but gt3 doesn't support it]

I'm pretty rough on my wheel and its still behaving as it did when I got it 4 months ago.

That movie never works for me, I dont know why it downloads 1kb.. and I chose the wheel since I do have the GTforce, and I like it.

I meant as a working product.

I saw your vid (nice BTW. It's not everyday you see someone drifitng with stick), just imagine doing that but with the 900d. I hope you have extended warranty. LOL

And may I ask what VGA you're using? I've been thinking of getting one of those. Seeing as is looks much easier than setting your wheel on a coffee table (what can I say? I'm poor and can't afford one of those fancy cockpit. ).

I use a TV Tuner card. ATI All in wonder, it accepts my video input so I don't need a VGA adaptor, it basically does that for me.

I'm using a controller by default. no fun. I've tried a wheel, but I've found that if it isn't secured on a desk or table of somekind then it's actually much harder.

There's my problem swift; nothing to mount my wheel to. Plus it's that crappy InterAct V3 or something... took it because when I bought GT3 back in 2001 the wheel like was $10 bucks extra, I figured what the heck but it really is crap.:banghead:

Although I learned to drift with the Dual Shock 2, something enticed me into buying a wheel.

Tried the MadCatz MC2 Universal (3 times) and determined that it was utter crap.

After I got my money back I bought the Driving Force Pro. Now I rarely play any of my other games, pre-ordered GT4, and bought a network adapter just for the online aspect. Now I'm considering buying an F1 racing game.

It is possible to drift and race with the DS2, but a good wheel makes it 10,000x funner and increases smoothness and control to the point where those factors are only limited by the driver, not the controller (except for the lack of a clutch). Still, the Driving Force Pro is an extraordinarily good investment if you have any interest in driving.

That interest will turn to love in no time.
