Im sorry if this has already been posted but ive looked for 4 hours over 3 days now and cant find a thread on why the heel those wheels keep on spinning on 2 player arcade mode, and why the creators couldnt keep it simple and the same as the Gt mode, where i have no problemos...i dont use arcade mode much for this reason....could someone give me a link or an answer plz.

Ben

Could U give some more info please ? What car , maybe what track?

Yup. Case closed :)
Hmmm, not so sure...

M5, while your opening post is a bit vague, I'll tell you what I think:

There is a problem with the TCS in 2 Player mode. In some versions (probably NTSC) it doesn't seem to work, but in my version (PAL) I have no probs with wheelspinning - TCS on or off. :)

Here the thread you were looking for https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=67580 by the way. Have a read through and it might answer some of your questions...

(Don't worry that you couldn't find it - I knew what that it existed and knew where to look. I also know how to use the search button effectively...) :)

there's something called throttle control... its a driving technique used to keep wheels from spinning.

Yeah just control your throttle and you should be okay

Yes, just throttle control your 1000hp car on S2 tires by varying the pressure your thumb makes on the button. Throttle control works fine sometimes, but there are other times when it's not exactly possible with the controller. Request: "I can't stop my tires from spinning, please help!" Answer: "just stop spinning your tires, you'll be fine!" Response: "ok great, thanks for the help! I never thought of that!" ;)

to stop the wheelspinning you have to pick a manufactoroures car and player 1 gets the option of turning on ams and tcs

325adam said this in another thread (so give him the credit for it) it really works!

"here is what you do:

Go into 2player mode and you BOTH choose a "regular" dealership car. Make sure when you choose that car, you select traction control. Once that happens you will be put to the screen where you can advance to race, but dont. You both can now change your car into whatever car you want in your garage and they will now have transaction control"

Yes it is. Use the stick and it's no problem at all. Although I prefer using TCS it's not THAT hard to control the throttle to avoid wheelspin..

Well said JTS!

Please note that M5 hasn't actually said that he has TCS on in GT4 mode. If he does, and he also thinks he has it on in Arcade mode, then he is having a problem selecting TCS in arcade mode. If he doesn't have TCS on in GT4 mode or arcade mode and still finds he gets more wheelspin in arcade, then he is having some other kind of settings problem, like perhaps using different tyres, or there is indeed a problem with the physics engine that gives him perpetual wheelspin in 2P mode. Perhaps the action of controlling 2 cars makes the controls less sensitive.

It could even be that M5 is simply a very sensitive driver and notices changes in wheelspin level that the rest of us don't detect.

Whatever the answer is, to suggest that he needs to learn throttle control to solve his problem overlooks the fact that he has no such problem in GT mode, or possibly in single player arcade mode, and is an ignorant, pointless and unintelligent response.

has no-one read my post??? Iv'e tried this method and it works, using it you can get traction controll on any of the cars from your garage!
