I plan to go out this afternoon to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and take pictures of the Wheldon Memorial at Gate 1. Also, there's a public memorial service tomorrow at Conseco Fieldhouse. Some of the drivers are scheduled to be there.

I will be taking a good amount of pictures. I will post them on my facebook if anyone would like to check them out. Likewise I can put them on here as well. Let me know. My facebook is http://www.facebook.com/darthmagus. I live here in Indianapolis so if there's anything that has to do with racing that you'd like to see let me know, it's possible I could get out to places if I have time.

Yeah i would love to see it. Im hopefully going to get his winning diecast. Picture of him wearing the wreath standing in his car next to the Borgwarner. Thats the day I met him. I remeber it so clearly

First, I'd like to apologize. My first post came off somewhat self-promoting. That wasn't my intention, I was just stating where all of the pics would be. Nonetheless, here are a few of the good ones. I think these show off the best just how much he meant around here in Indy and to the racing community as a whole.

Thats awesome in its own way, its nice to see so many people taking part in that memorial and just all the memorabilia that is there.. RIP Dan.

If you're going to nitpick do it in another thread please. He probably just truncated the quote, nothing wrong with that.
Perhaps I tried to be too playful. I meant that Hunt has nothing do with it. OT, sorry, but at least it's a fitting quote to a Wheldon thread.
