When does the game count a day?

I thought I saw it somewhere, searched for it, but didn't find the anwer.

I know that a lot of things does get counted as a day.

My question was if you play in arcade mode, does your days also get counted or does it only get counted in GT mode?

Because I'm a little anal about the used car cycle...

Everytime you see a Loading screen = 1 day
