Every time I start my computer my screen goes white. Some times it goes away, but most of the time it doesn't. Try to restore, nothing. I put all of my graphic options on default, nothing. Can any one help? Had the PC under a year.

I am using
Vista Home Premium
Intel Core Duo @3.00GHz
Two 8800 GTS in SLi
4G RAM (but only 3G show up)

Could be a problem with the SLi. Have you tried the other video outputs? Is there an onboard VGA you can plug the monitor into?

Thanks for the advice, i will try it to change the output, and no onboard VGA.

what happens when you boot into safe mode? could be a driver issue - have you updated to latest drivers?

This happens during Windows is booting or before then?

Check that your RAM is all seated correctly and maybe pull some out and see if any have failed.

Thanks, Seemed like I was behind a version in my video driver. Now its up to date. So far so good, lets see what happens in next couple of days.

Thanks for advice everyone

Don't you need the 64 bit version of Vista to use over 3Gigs of memory? I'm pretty sure 32 bit can only use 3.

Yeah, I think Vista only shows 3GB. XP would show 3.7GB or something. I don't know if Vista actually uses that 3.7GB or just 3.

That wasn't what I was addressing, though.

Well guys, the problem came back. Then I figured that it might be the screen, luckily I have one more monitor. Right now when I turned on my computer, the white screen was on, when i press the MENU button on my monitor nothing displayed, so I'm guessing it must be the monitor. Right now i have my spare one plunged in, I use to use two monitors at the same time until i got SLI, anyone knows when SLI will work with two monitors? or it will never happen? Oh and so far its working, so yeah, I am betting it was a monitor that was messed up.
