Where are the cars tested for GT4?

Which country are the cars in GT4 tested?

Is it more then one track?

The reason I am asking this question is because I am simply sick of waiting around to know whether I'll have a nice range of BMWs to play around in. I want to write an e-mail to that BMW group (eg BMW Australia, etc) and ask them whats going on.

It might not work, but its certainly worth a try:)

I'm surprised no one has done it already (that I know of...)

International theoridicly? They might have done liscencing with PD:)
 
You should contact the BMW that worked with PD on the special version of Gran Turismo that was used to show off the M5 Concept at a recent show. Somewhere in Europe would be my guess.

99% probability that BMW wont respond, or any car company.
 
Sure they'll respond. They'll thank him for his interest, completely ignore anything he wrote and politely direct him to some website advertising thier cars or some other place that wont answer his question :p

You know, the standard cut and paste reply they use for all inquiries regardless of topic :D

Itll be the same response I got from quite a few manufacturers when I inquired about Gran Turismos influence on the decisions made to bring various cars to the US for a paper I was writting. Mitsubishi and Subaru were atleast kind enough to direct me to articles that were already written on the subject.
 
As long as there are any BMW's at all I'd be happy, though it'd be really cool to see the E30's or 2002's or an M-Z3. I'd love to run a 2002 against a classic Mini Cooper... now that would be fun.
 
Even if they did tell you which models PD tested, that doesn't mean that they will be in the game. Just wait for the game and be surprised.

They're not going to tell you, PD wont tell you, nobody will until they're ready to reveal such info. I would be interested in how they reply though.
E3 starts around May 10th and that will be your best bet to find out that sort of info, well then and maybe TGS later in the fall. Unless PD holds onto the car list until its final around GT4's release which could very well happen. In any case info should start coming on a regular basis starting from E3 until we finaly get our game.
 
I think Kazunori Yamauchi, might have obtained licensing from Porche, BMW, or Ferrarri. Otherwise and I'm speaking "as if I was him" I wouldn't have the face to make you all wait for the game if there wheren't a giga achivement.

Actualy I don't care so much about seen those three puppies in the game, but for the time that we have been waiting, they better be at least one. If PD delivers a game, that has an AI so competitive, that you all will want to get to the finish line just to scrash the winer car from quarter panel to quarter panel, a car selection of of over 700 hundred and graphics so rich you would end up waxing your TV screen, but no one single car from those three manufacturers (other than the 325) I would never miss my sleep again looking for info on a GT game.
 
You really think they (to whomever you sent the message to at BMW) are going to respond to some kid who plays a stupid video game?

Most likely, BMW signed a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) with SCE. BMW couldn't talk about it even if they wanted to and especially not to some kid.

Get a grip, it's only a game. I'm sure GT4 will feature plenty of BMW vehicles. Does it really matter which ones they are?
 
To car enthusiasts and GT enthusiasts yes it does matter.
BTW,I'm not some kid and it certainly matters to me and I'd guess many others on this forum.
 
I think in the US it will be Laguna Seca, in Japan I think it will be Motegi, Fugi, Tsukuba, and Suzuka.

at least they didnt give you a generic email, unless they have alot of people asking the same question
 
Wow.... They actually acknowledged that it was a question regarding a game.
 
back to the original question:

I wonder if the testing at all the different locations will allow them to simulate the elevation differences? Like if you are racing at a track with a higher altitude, if naturally aspirated cars will be at a disadvantage?
