Where are the dealership events?!

Hi guys,

I finally got GT5 the other day - and am loving it!! :)

Anyway, I remember in GT IV there were races for each dealership (well, not for all, but most of them), and I can't seem to find them in GT5?

Do they even exist? I really hope so, cause they were a lot of fun ...

Sadly, these were left out of GT5.
 
You can perform one make races in practice and arcade modes. I guess PD considered that having the one make races performed the same function as the previous dealership races?
 
I want them back, though. GT5P had them. And remember in GT2 each manufacturer also had their own tuning shops? And special cars? And am I the only one who wants the licenses to be necessary for a race like in previous game? Its more realistic than levels. And it creates more of a challenge than earning XP. The licenses should contribute to something.

I couldn't agree more, symustafa .. Can't belive they're not in GT5 :(
Also, the licenses should indeed be compulsary for being able to participate in certain races... I miss the old system.
 
I think it is like to be able to let younger, possibly less skilled people do any race :)
 
Arcade Mode -> One Make Race

Difficulty can be set in options menu -> Arcade Race options (?)
 
I wish there was real events dedicated to dealerships. Weren't they in Prologue too?
 
I sort of agree, but the one thing I didn't like about Manufacturer Events was that you would be required to buy a certain car to enter and then win the same damned car if you completed the race..!! Used to drive me a bit potty that. As it is, I'm not too bothered as there are almost always new races and events to partake in. Plus the online aspect of GT5 means that we can all compete in our own events and challenges now, where we never used to be able to 👍

I miss the dealer races that were for a series of cars, like the Honda Type-R race.
It is interesting that dealer races were in 2 and 4, but not 1, 3 or 5, so maybe they'll be back in 6 to follow the pattern!
