Anyone remember the neo-geo.. i think that was what it was called. Kind of like the N-gage only faaar less popular.
I don't know myself what was wrong with it but i only know one person who bought one.
ah well.

Neo Geo originally made some really killer arcade units. Games like R-Type and such. Really freaking cool. And they were the pioneer of putting multiple games in one box ... I think. And they were the first to have more than a directional pad and two buttons. I believe they had three. Then Sega joined in on the multi-button action, and Nintendo added even more on the Super Nintendo.

The Neo Geo console was one of the first to have an outrageous price tag - something like $450 back in the late 80s or early 90s. And the games were insane too. And not a very big selection either.

There was also Turbo Grafx 16 (sp?), which was almost a complete flop. I have two friends that have the console and a hand full of games.

That reminds me, they did indeed make those arcade machine thingys.
Often the games on them would have some fairly dodgey English translation, but hey, they had some great games on there :)

OK, My name is Dangerous Dave, I used to hunt Zombies with my Shot Gun, now all I can do with my shotgun is keep little kids off of the dirt in front of my trailer...I am waiting to hear back from some major game companies, but they keep saying they've never heard of me...does anyone remember playing me ?

Hi, this is Lara Croft. You may remember me from the hit game series, Tomb Raider, but I'm here today to give a very important notice.

Kids, don't do drugs.
