Last night I went over to a friends house to play GT5.
He just got the game last week, so he has about a dozen cars.
So I decided I would bring my save game and that way we could use my data and play will all the goodies.
I copied the file under "Saved Data Utility (PS3)" under the XMB that I always back up and put it on my thumb drive stick.
I then signed out of PSN and powered off my PS3.
Once at his place, I created a new account on his machine with my name.
I then linked that account to my existing PSN account.
I logged in and then copied the file from my USB stick to the saved data location.
I started up GT5 and everything looked good.
I had all my cars and we had fun playing.
Eventually, I wanted to show him a track that I had made.
But when I went to my tracks, there were none there.
I also looked under my Photo Album and none of my pictures were there.
I did not think to check and see if paint and horns were there.

After we finished playing, I logged off the account and deleted it from his PS3.
When I got home I started up my system, logged in, started GT5, and everything was there. All my tracks and photos were fine.

I assumed that these items would have either been in the saved data file or stored on the Sony servers and available remotely, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Does anyone know where this data is stored and if it is possible to get it to work on a different PS3?

Thanks

You have to go back to the old school multiplayer split-screen to be able to do this. Sucks.

Scenic Hill is too hilly for a good race anyway. LOL.

I believe photos and tracks are stored in the game data, not save data.

This.

When looking at the save data file, it's obvious that it doesn't include photos because of the file size. Mine, for example, is something like 800 or so KB (less than a megabyte), and a single photo is typically like 250 to 350 KB.
