Where can I race....... ???

I just splashed out 1.8M on a Pagani Zonda R and discovered I can't actually race it anywhere apart from Arcade or maybe lobbies (well, haven't found anywhere but happy to be corrected!!).

Most of the Gr. Xs I have are VGT so will find a spot somewhere. Others have their own races, such as Nostalgic '79.

Is it worth compiling a list of cars which can't be raced anywhere in Campaign Mode..... I'll start - Zonda R

The list of cars omitted from Sport mode is pretty big. Of the 60 Gr.X cars, about 55 have never been used. All 10 of the Gr.B cars don't get used. Also, pretty much every N class car above N400 doesn't get used. Of the 304 cars in the game, about half have never been used for Sport mode racing. The 3,000,000 Red Bull car is the most expensive car I've seen in a race, that's not specially provided. If you buy a 1,000,000+ car, you're not likely to get much return on investment.

I took the Zonda around Dragon Trail.... drives like a charm, would love to use it in a race..... never mind, I'll just take this (and any others that can't race in Campaign / Sport) on Arcade single races / time trials.....

Renault RS 01 (Gr X version)

EDIT - Just realised it's my own dumb fault - exactly this happened with the McLaren P1 (and I think I started a thread about that too!)

Oh no! Just done it again! Decided to whittle down my credit reserves and buy the 2019 Red Bull last night (took a couple of beers to pluck up the will to do so.....!) Today thought I'd try and see how the thing drove (I recall not liking it one bit in GT6). Went to Campaign / Pro / Red Bull...... and I can't race the 🤬 thing!! 2014 "standard" only. Boy am I 🤬🤬 off with that! Is there a secret race to take it to??? 3M down the pan.....

Just to add, I did check and they're both group X - just didn't check the race info first (didn't think for one minute the 2019 would be barred)

There's an endurance category for the 2019 car.

Custom races can be pretty cool. You can also set up one make races there of course.
I hope PD expand on the single player custom race feature in the next title. And I pray they won’t remove the customisation options altogether. It’s a very welcome addition for setting up offline races.

There's an endurance category for the 2019 car.

The Endurance races are the only GT League events for this car, so far at least. I think with the 2014 Red Bull cars already having special events in the GT League, that's unlikely to change, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info - that's an area I've not had time to tackle yet.
Still can't fathom why they're barred from the red Bull races in Campaign pro though..... weird!

It's sad that you consider it a waste of money cause it can't be used in the decidedly least interesting part of the game. Hopefully it helps you realize what you've been missing.
