Where can I tune the Formula Gran Turismo Car?

You can't. You can't change the oil, either. You're stuck with what you get, which is already pretty good.

You can't change tires or upgrade the power, but you can tune the hell out of it.

Start by changing the rear toe from - 6 to - 2 or perhaps - 1. The rear tire life will be better.

What ?????????????
Tuning a F1 car ???????????????????
Do you really think it is too slow ?
CAN you take it to the top ?

Try to do that , then think what needs to be improved ? The car or the driver ?

You should be able to mess with the power, weight, and tires in arcade mode. Of course you won't be able to change suspension settings and stuff, but you could try it anyway...

So let me get this right. You want to "upgrade" the fastest car in the game?
The car doesn't wear out, no oil change needed, no frame refresh needed. A tire assortment would have been nice, but isn't necessary, since the F1's AI suck. You'll blast them so bad, the extra pits won't matter.

The real F1 guys tune those cars at every track. Too bad GT does not allow for much tuning in the game. But then on the other hand, if that were possible someone might violate it and put knobby tires on the car and go rally racing with the it...

Dude, chill out!

He never said the car was slow, he simply asked it if could be tuned. A simply "No" answer would have worked just fine. No need to jump his case...

i dont belive this is the fastest car in the game :(
its ONE of the fastest cars in the game thats for sure... however its top speed is 230mph and thats messing with one hell of a tricky transmission. it accelerates the fastest and takes turns faster than any car i know, but once you get into a strait way or courses with less turns, then it almost allways will never place first when racing against annother class c race car that can go 300+mph.

the F1 is all about skills tho, you have to raise bspec skills and tune it to pit less often... its about the tune yes, because less tire ware means less pits, and a better bspec skill will provide better times because your driver will go faster.
i cant say much for your aspec :p that depends on the users driving skills which vary from user to user.

going really fast in turns should make this car one of the fastest cars in turns you may just have to tune the suspention to help reduce whear in the tires etc.

ahh nevermind, you guys battle it out with opinions instead of facts :(

dude, your never gonna be racing AGAINST a 300+MPH car in GT4. ever!...to get it that fast requires hard tuning, which isnt found on the AI cars (well, except for a few manufacturer races) and 230MPH is pretty fast

hrm... i fully tune my cars, i usually get them to race about 280mph on an average basis. i admit thats a high speed and its not achivable in ALL tracks, but in some tracks i can get over 300mph and so can anyone else... in fact wasnt the top speed of a GT-ONE using a wheelie trick 380mph? ya.

its easy to tune the cars, and if you have a car that brake's well and accelearates fast then you have a winning combination.

i know that alot of the cars in GT4 on the PRactice RING in stock form that you race against dont go much past 250mph i dont think. mabe its 240mph.

but still the f1 goes only 213mph on strait aways meaning it will be beating in such races against class C race cars seeing that they ALL go over 213mph. only with time to tune the tricky tranny can you get to 230mph it hasnt been recorded what that setup is yet (i lost it because i didnt write it down and tried to get higher).

anyways whatever :P just informing you with info.

I changed the rear toe to neutral. What a difference! If I had known that for my first time through the F1 challenge, I'd have walked through it. I'm doing it again and it's truly enjoyable now.

Do you think that maybe the F1 cars can't be tuned and have phenomenal tyre wear to make it more of a challenge?

Do you race?

Might well be... witness the strange rear toe setting, which makes tyre wear horrible. Change it to something more palatable and it seems to be able to outlast the major group C opposition as well as outrun them. So it doesn't need other tyres to compete, but it does need seting up.

And as for top speed, the only track where the AIs in their Group C cars might beat the F1 car is at Test Course. Even at Le Sarthe 2, my b-spec zombie laps faster than the Group C cars. Even Indycars still run with wings at the 500, which makes them slower in a straight line than they would be without wings. On a track with 200MPH corners, they still want at least a little bit of downforce.

You can win "like the wind" (5 laps of the test track) with the F1. You just need to set the gears right, stiffen the susp, lower the ride height and lower the downforce all the way. It even gets you 200 a spec points for stiching your foot on the gas.

Hmmm, it is able to go round the midfield raceway pretty quick. Although i do enjoy my 300mph cerbera speed 12 for outright straightline speed, excellent around test track, yet once NOS has depleted 300mph is no longer acheivable. :indiff:

In a way your right about this as they say F1 is about driving quick - any idiot can get in a car and put his foot down but to be quick round most race tracks you have to be able to drive well no matter what car your in. I think this is supposed to mean F1 isn't just about top speed.

At Barcelona this year the moto GP bikes did in the region of 200 - 220 MPH I think on the pit straight. Whereas the F1 cars only did 180-190 MPH, however, the lap times of the bikes were nearly 20s slower on average. This is due to downforce enabling much higher conering speeds.

IMHO its similar in GT4 the F1 will blitz all cars on most tracks. The noticable exceptions are le Sarthe and the ovals.

Your right its not the fastest (top speed wise) but it probably is overall the quickest.
