He is a modder that goes by the name of Tekiei.
and from what i understand is that thomas has asked for his help to solve a problem with belt slippage.
he has created a motor berring support and manual belt tensioner to use to adjust the belts without opening the wheel base.
he has tried to increase the belt tension but it resulted in over stressing the force feedback motors shaft berrings hence the idea of the berring support.
he has also remachined the motor v-groove pulleys to a different pitch but it did not help.
unfortunately the motor torque is overcoming the belt capacity and this would result in belt slippage and thus create excessive heat and a glazing of the belt.
fanatec should have stayed with the cog belt type as on there previous wheels.
it looks like it could be a while before these issues are sorted out

Thank you very much for clarifying. Tekiei also is a Beta tester from what I read on his blog. As far as I could read it. So he'll be a great addition to Fanatec with his modding skills.

I wonder if the CSP V2 will be released together with the CSW. Would be logical follow up from the CSR and CSR Elite product line releases where the wheels and pedals got released at pretty much the same time.

hopefully he will offer upgrade kits. similar to the gt3 v2 kits ( i dont even know if those really surfaced) seems to me Fanatec is writing alot of checks that they cant cash. i just wish they would be a little more up front with the CSW news. updating us weekly even. now with more questions surrounding the CSP'es makes me just wonder what are they really doing? shifter, hand brake, csp, csw, thats just alot of stuff

It is all ClubSport product line stuff though. They are just trying to make the most complete and perfect product line this year for the serious sim racer. So this will be a busy and exciting year for us and Fanatec and I am sure there will be some new milestones placed for other manufacturers to follow.

I think having new CSPs will also justify the price point of the CSR Elite pedals with inversion kit better and set it better apart from the CSR Elite pedals. That is if it is going to be as good as I hope it is from looking at those early beta pics and having seen them at ISR as well via that link.

If you now take a look. Where did the CSR wheel go? Not the elite, but the CSR. It does NOT exist on ANY countries page.............I don't think it was "sold out", but that is my assumption.

And out of complete curiosity, has ANYONE from the Vatican purchased from Fanatec? lol......The Pope?

very interesting... I'm not sure. The store for Canada only has the Elite, GT2, and 2 versions of the GT3RS.

if anyone would like to upgrade there clubsport brake pedal with the shock as shown in the V2 model here is a link to get the exact same shock.
it is a relatively easy mod to do - one would just have to fabricate a mounting plate for the lower mount

OH NICE! thank you. That could easily be done! i have the means, what does the bar on the gas peddle do?

It looks like the rod/bracket allows the pedal to travel so far. The bracket on the rod rotates to a certain point, stopping the pedal from going any further, then the spring on the potentimeter pushes it back into place. I think there's an updated photo from the Tekiei with a coil spring that helps the clutch bounce back into place, too.

i believe you mean the clutch pedal.

that bar is attached to a cam - when you apply the pedal the bar pushes on the upper part of the cam and this will cause it to rotate.
the lower part of the cam is attached to the black guide block.
as the cam rotates it will compress the guide block ( the reverse of the original function ).originally the guide block was stationary.
the coil spring on the side stretches as you press on the pedal .
the whole idea is to replicate the feeling of a clutch pedal in a car.
if you have ever driven a car with a manual transmission you would notice that while pressing on the clutch pedal and as it goes down about 50% of it`s travel - suddenly the pressure required to further press the pedal has reduced.
this is caused by a cam effect on the clutch fork and linkage .
so basically on the clubsport pedals it is to increase the imersion effect

it really seems very modular i would hope they make upgrade kits, but i guess well see what happens. im very interested to see if the clutch part is also sold online as well similar to the spring for the break.

Good info, Thank you.
I was just about to order some CSP, but now I'll wait and use my G25 pedals instead.
Just hope there will be some official information soon.
I don't really want to wait til the E3 :/

I'm just curious as to why they are no longer selling the regular clubsports. I was planning on buying some very soon and I don't want to wait months and months for a new one.

In the german store, they are still available.
Seems they are only sold out in the US ?!
Maybe only a delivery shortage ;)

Thomas stated because of the Chinese new year, some products might sell out and will not be available until end of FEB. But, we have not heard that for other than the Elite and CSP. The CSR is my ? But, that too could be as simple as being sold out for now. BUT, it was taken off BOTH US/CA and ALL of EU shops fyi, while the CSP's are still avail. in europe.
