Where did the likes on everyone's profile page go? I can still like people's posts and everything. One of my ideas is that because of the creation of the Suggestions forum, likes will be hidden.

So, am I right or is going to be changed again?

Thanks.

That's correct - the count has been removed due to the use of the "like" system in the Suggestions forum. It's probably best that number isn't displayed, anyway, though.

Awe. Would it be possible to have it as an option if you want to show likes or not, (kinda like online status)?

What do you mean? I understand that you're saying it was abused but how exactly?

Suggestion forum?

There is a suggestion thread but that is probably not it.

Then what exactly, since it would seem some of us enjoyed the feature..
The "like" feature is used to like posts. The "like" feature is also used to like suggestions.

The fact that some suggestions are getting 500+ likes vastly skews the likes for those that happen to suggest a popular car/track.

A high number of likes should mean that person makes good posts. The fact that suggestions also use the likes feature means that isn't always the case.

Thanks, but why not just remove it from the suggestion section since those same types of people already get tons of likes doing it outside that area for the same material.

It doesn't work that way. Likes are all or nothing and can't be turned off for only one section. Unless Jordan has more magic up his sleeves.

Alright, thanks for the confirmation Jordan.

How can I find out how many likes I have scored? I can list my likes and there are 29 pages of up to 20 likes per page, but I'd like (sic) an actual count.

Aw, I had a close 1.1:1 post:like ratio... lol

The Suggestion Box has improved my ratio to about 3.5:1. That's 3.5 Likes per Post!

Well... I'd like to see it too.

I mean, I got possibly 700 likes because I've made some good suggestions (and I suggest only things I really wanted, not tthings I know others want just to get likes or whatever :lol) but before that I've already had 2400 likes I think and those were 99% from my posts in photomode section. :)

ps: How did you know I had a lot of likes anyway? :D

I would like to see all the "likes" that I have from suggestions wiped out because I liked the like-feature and now everyone thinks that the likes I have aren't authentic. :indiff:

738 are from suggestions.

I have just noticed the likes count has disappeared, is there no way we can see it without it being publically displayed?

Again the system has been abused and then changed, its disapointing because its implementation this time round was really good.

I just found out a way to instantly see how many "likes" one has received.

Go to the profile page of someone whom is following you and search for your username between all his followers. You'll see your postcount and your "likes".

I found that out a bit earlier than that when I randomly clicked on my followed users page. :dopey:

But for some reason I never bothered to post it, and now you've taken the credit. Dang.

"Like" is a nice feature, but let's not turn it into a competition or some sort of measure of self-worth, like some Facebook-teens I know. :)
